They didn't give us enough time to tour the Frida museum.
The guide got off before having dropped off all the passengers at their destinations and the driver had no idea that he had to drop us off at the same pick-up point.

The museum and Coayacan was nice and more memorable. The value of the tour guide was really just the transportation. Xoxhimilico wasn’t very touristy and we weren’t given much history. We had to ask the guide questions. We did not go deep into the fumes at all (maybe 500 meters). It was more about having the locals sell their food and drinks so we could eat on the boat. It was interesting and if you go in knowing it’s more about having lunch than you will be happy.

we were so excited for this excursion, we got picked up our hotel. we were taken to a meeting point. we were taken to Xochimilco and everything was going fine until the tour guide started smoking.... then he took us to a plant station d that no one wanted to go and were there for a long time. from there we returned to the van and drove us to Coyoacan. The tour guide slept the whole time. once in coyacan he took us to the church then told us to meet at a certain hour by Frida Kahlos blue house. We had tickets for the Frida Kahlos blue house tour. He said he did not have to drive us there that we should walk. we did not know where to go. we had to ask for directions. over all the tour guide made our excursion a very negative one. we are very disappointed.

Our guide, Eduardo, was fabulous. He was very attentive and answered all our questions. We did everything that the tour advertised. Xochimilco is better done on a weekend or with a large group to get the full experience (we went on a Tuesday).

Our only disappointment was the timing of the trip. We booked a 9AM tour & were informed the night before that it had unexpectedly changed to noon. Luckily, we had flexibility in our plans, but it’s not a great practice to change things like that at the last minute.

I signed up for this tour in advance and received a call from the tour operator the day before, saying she forgot to buy the tickets and there is no tour scheduled for the day I purchased. I have requested a refund but haven’t received it yet.

When we got to the Frida Kahlo house we were told there weren't enough tickets. We waited in the sun for over an hour while our guide, Sergio, tried to bargain with us. Please help him out, he said, as if we had to assume responsibility for the tour's incompetence. He blamed the museum and said there were no more tickets available. He tried to bribe us - free dinner if four of us would give up our demand. No one did. Overall the tour seemed disorganized - we left four people behind at Xochimilco because a celebration was going to close the roads. Why didn't Sergio tell everyone in advance that being left behind was a possibility? Our pick up was also very haphazard because a marathon had closed the roads. Sergio's English was passable at best. Our English speaking guide, Geovana was delightful. But overall, I'd be very cautious before booking this disorganized tour and be sure that you understand that even though you've paid for tickets to the Frida Kahlo house that doesn't mean you'll actually get tickets.
