The guide was incredible. We were supposed to get a private guide (which is what we paid for) but viator denied us that, refused to refund the difference and was generally uncooperative. VERY disappointed.

So glad that we booked this tour. I could’ve never successfully navigated the different methods of transportation needed to reach Machu Picchu from Cusco. This tour group coordinated everything and over communicated with me via WhatsApp the day before and day of. Train ride was long but awesome, they made it easy and we had a memorable experience!

The tour was well organized and the guides were very helpful and knowledgeable. It is an all day tour and can take anywhere from 12-15 hours long. The sites were phenomenal to see and very enjoyable. There is a lot of walking up hill so be aware that its not for everyone.

Viajes Pacifico is a horrible travel agency. Deysi is rude. I purchased a tour to leave from Cuzco, Poroy train station to Aguas Calientes. Viajes Pacifico took us to Ollantaytambo to take the train. I had to hold my urine for two hours because they neglected to comply with what I purchased via Viator. Viajes Pacifico’s staff picked us up and dropped us off and left us to figure out how to take the train to Machu Picchu. HORRIBLE SERVICE! The guide in Machu Picchu skipped some sites. When the took was over, he left us at the bus stop to go down to Aguas Calientes. We had to figure out how to return to Cuzco. Viator should not work with this agency. I paid a full price for a train to leave from Poroy which is more expensive than leaving from Ollantaytambo. Also, the telephone number provided by this Viajes Pacifico do not work.

Booking this experience through Viator took the stress away especially not being fluent in Spanish. All the bus and train tickets were purchased for us and we had a tour guide member at every stop to make sure we were on track. Our tour guide for Machu Pichu, Rudy, was kind and knowledgeable

Tour well organised, recieved travel info by email night prior to tour, only complaint is that despite booking and English guide, we had a bilingua group so everything was translated twice which got a bit tiresome and slowed us down around the citadel.

Today, July 7, the Historic Shrine of Machu Picchu celebrates 14 years of being chosen as one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World, thanks to its imposing and beautiful archaeological complex, located in the Peruvian Andes at 2430 meters above sea level.
