The best and original tour of Chichen Itza starting with A visit to Chichen Itza and visit the sacred cenote Maya Park

Other than warm weather the reason for trip to Mexico was to see these ruins. We took another tour with Cancun Adventures and it was awesome, not so much this. We felt the guid was just reciting from memory and did not wish to answer questions regarding the ruins. Free time for pictures was 10 minutes which did not allow for time we wanted here. We saw the ruins but could have done this on our own.

This is the worst trip we EVER had.
The tour is no more than a so called “tourist trap” it took us 5h30 to get to chichen itza with a guide yielling each recommandations at least 5 times in both Spanish and English.
After 2h30 listening to crap recommandations and mayan history (this one is interesting) you end up in a shop in a middle of nowhere to buy fake mayan art probably made in China.
Then you have the pleasure to enjoy a disgusting buffet.
After leaving at 7 a.m it is now 1 p.m and time to finally go to Chichen itza.
This is wonderful both the site and the guide. But you spent only 2 hours on the site
Then back to the bus with the yielling guide to go to a cenote with million of tourists
And you finish in valladolid for 20 min because it’s enough (actually not) but you’re trapped and have to follow the group.
THIS IS THE WORST EXPERIENCE WE EVER HAD
don’t give your money to these people.
Rent a car go by your self and really enjoy Chichen Itza

We had a GREAT experience and I highly recommend this tour. It's a full day excursion, but you travel in a very comfortable coach bus and our tour guides were very amusing and funny. The cenote we stopped at was my first and I think it was the BEST part, icing on the cake. Make sure to bring 20 pesos for a life vest (mandatory) and 20 pesos for a locker (optional), and pack a towel. The only other expenses we incurred were the federal and local tax to get into Chichen Itza, which is advertised, and dinner. Lunch was provided, but it does not include the cost of a coke or beverage. These extra costs were okay with us, but I mention it to make you aware.
