Welcoming guests to Kauai since 2007, Luau Kalamaku is Hawaii's only luau show performed “in-the-round,” offering optimal views of the stage. Witness the unearthing of the pig from the traditional imu (underground oven) and enjoy a hula lesson. A craft fair featuring unique items by local artisans awaits on the sprawling lawn. Feast on a delicious buffet of local and familiar favorites and enjoy a Mai Tai from the open bar. The main show tells the amazing story of the ancient Hawaiian legend of Kalamaku “child of the new land." Through laughter, fear, seduction and fire, a new legacy is created, born from the cherished seeds of their ancestors. The theatrical luau show culminates with a fantastic fire dream featuring fire poi balls and traditional fire knife dancing.

Staff were very helpful and kind, very organized event. Food was amazing as well as the Mai Tai's.... The show, all Hawaiian cast, were superb. I would highly recommend to everyone visiting the island of Kauai.

Venue was organized well and corralled nearly 800 people well, when we went. Not exactly luau food, but still good. The themed storyline and traditional dancing was well choreographed. However, was hoping for more Hula dancing in traditional dress. And fire torch was Very short!

Great theatrical performance fire show. We had a great time. The whole event was well organized. Easy instructions, friendly personnel. Food choices were Ok , sort of limited but that is understandable given the size of the crowd.
I would recommend attending this one.

The show was very good and the train ride was fun. Lots of animals to see…the grandkids loved it. The food was ok.

I loved the way they told a story through dance & song . Beautiful costumes also. Very entertaining and interactive . Great food too.

The show was absolutely fantastic!!! We would definitely see this show again. The pork was so yummy!! The staff was very polite as well. We had a fantastic night celebrating a 15-year-old bday and a high school graduation.

The best part was the hula and fire dancing. This was a 5. There was no Imu ceremony, probably couldn’t be, the food was tasteless and certainly not all you can eat. Drink options were limited. That part of the event was disappointing.

Food was average. Only 1 roll per person . Not a lot of salad or dressing. Plates were not full size dinner plates. Fish and fruit were best.
