This is a tour that combines Australia's unique wildlife in a beautiful setting, an amazing forest drive and the adorable Puffing Billy. Drive to Emerald and spend time exploring the visitor canter and grabbing some lunch. Board Puffing Billy on a 1-hour steam engine ride to Belgrave Station. We also drive to Moonlit Sanctuary to meet adorable koalas, friendly kangaroos and Wallabies, Tasmanian Devils, Dingoes and more and drive back to Melbourne.

The whole experience was rememberable from the pick up to the superb driver and tour guide. We shared some special memories with him at the sanctuary even though he tours there many times in a week it seemed like all the animals wanted to say hi. Puffing Billy is a must was very different and nice just to chill out and absorb the sights.

Didn't understand why they combined a railway tour with a visit to a sanctuary. The ride was ok, but the views did not justify the length of the ride. From there to the sanctuary was one hour drive and then only one hour in the sanctuary. That was way too short, especially if you (pre)booked an encounter with a koala. For all that it was too pricy. But our guide Travis was great. So much interesting information we got from him while he was driving us. He's just a really cool, relaxed guy and made this trip, together with the koala encounter, memorable.
