We had a wonderful experience with this tour and our tour guide. It was VERY well organized and the tour guide was very knowledgeable. She had a good sense of humor and kept everyone's interest easily. I was skeptical about signing up for a tour, since the reviews were very mixed, but I was very happy and I highly recommend this tour company. You should chose the option that comes with the entrance tickets, otherwise you need to get them on your own and the lines are long. They use a whisper headset system, so you wear a headset and can easily ear everything the guide is saying. It was a wonderful visit.

Finding the pick-up location was too difficult and stressful.
Th e your itself was brilliant but I couldn’t find the pick-up point despite asking several people. Other people on the tour had the same experience

Unfortunately, this was one of our least favorite excursions during our cruise in Italy, Greece, and Turkey. The nice part of this excursion is that the tour office was literally minutes from the start of the tour. However, the tour itself was lackluster. The fun of these tours is usually the tour guide. If they really get into it and seem to enjoy the history, the tour is fantastic. In our case, the guide was a bit lackluster. That being said, she was knowledgable and we were able to see the Acropolis as advertised. The one drawback is that we were left at the top of the Acropolis and had to exit on our own and find out where we were. The rest of the group had booked a second piece, so it was kind of weird to be left where we were.

Our tour guide was Smart, Articulate, Interesting & Funny.
She provided lots of insight & historical perspective that really made the Acropolis & Parthenon come alive.

This tour was great if you would like to learn a lot about the history of the area from an expert guide. As well you do get to enter via the group entrance but at 5.30pm when we went there wasn’t any line.
I found the guide had a alot of knowledge about the entire area and all the structures and possibly to keep us out of the heat and in a place we could all be together as there was 20 of us, she would spend what I felt was a lot of time in set places and talk about everything around us. As such, combined with the heat some people decided to leave the tour earlier to explore on their own.
Those that remained seemed to enjoy it. Some of my family chose to wander off and come back.
Having the ear piece and audio machine allowed for ease of listening as a group so this was a plus.
Personally if you want to know in depth knowledge a tour is great otherwise like many you can do this on your own.

BUT TRUST ME: do not use the Main West Entrance
Go to the SOUTH SLOPES Entrance.
It’s easier, more to see and you avoid the crowds.

Had a wonderful time. Kostas was a great instructor and tour guide and gave us not just history but reasons on why the Parthenon was built. Tour was on time and we had headphones so we could hear. We had a windy day and the Parthenon was very crowded but that was to be expected. Make sure to wear good shoes with traction. Over two thousand years the marble has gotten slippery and the steps are large. Great tour and our family of 8 had a great time.

We had a great day with our tour guide, Orestis! He was very knowledgeable, friendly, with a good sense of humor. Very windy today, but we made it without problems. Wear good shoes., and bring a large bottle of water.
