Yesterday, after 10 years, I was finally able to embrace the feeling of riding again thanks to Knights of Gaia. It was like coming home.
The place is a real paradise for horse lovers and nature lovers. The atmosphere is familiar and welcoming, and the staff is made up of passionate and competent people who take care of the horses with love and dedication. Cavalieri di Gaia is an association dedicated to the recovery and preservation of horses from difficult situations, and you can clearly see the love they have for these magnificent animals.
The activity we chose was a 360-degree experience: from the preparation of farinaccio to the walk in the pine forest, to the care of the horses after the exit. Every moment was magical, especially thanks to the patient and attentive Guide of Alessia and Piero.
I thank all the people who are part of this association. You are an example that many realities should follow.

Alessia, her wonderful volunteers and the gentle, easy to ride horses at Cavalieri di Gaia gave our family of 4 with divergent riding abilities a beautiful first morning in Rome. Ostia Antica is close to the airport so it's a perfect thing to do before heading into the city. The organization rescues and gives a home to retired and injured horses. Highly recommend!
