The Douro Valley, World heritage and one of the oldest wine producing regions in the world, has unique landscapes and delicious treats ready to amaze you.
This region is home of the famous Douro Wine, specifically the Port wine.
As soon as we arrive we will sample the amazing treats that the valley has to offer: almonds, its traditional bread and its delicious honey, all paired with Douro´s red, white and rosé wines.
Then, we will head to the Pinhão train station, where you can see the history of Douro's wine industry in typical blue&white portuguese tiles. You can also go for an optional boat ride.
After, we will visit a family-owned winery with access to an exclusive lunch menu with all included and paired with White, Red and Port Wines. After lunch you will have a Port Wine tasting in which you will sample several different years.
Before arriving in Porto, we will visit Amarante, for a final tasting of its treats.

On time pick up from convenient downtown location. Van was clean and comfortable. Guide Pedro is charming and considerate. Water provided. Tour is well organized, locations are excellent, food and wine top notch. Add the boat tour. A relaxing opportunity to enjoy the views from a different perspective. Added information on olive oil production and tasting unexpected bonus. 10 out of 10 stars

The Douro Valley Tour was wonderful. We went with a group of 6, 4 adults and 2 teenagers. The weather was fantastic so we were able to fully appreciate the beauty of the Douro Valley and its surrounding villages. The roads were narrow and winding so extremely glad we had an experienced driver leading us! The wine, olive oil and honey were all much better than we had anticipated. We purchased some bottles to send home.
Joao S. was fantastic. He was knowledgable, fun, patient, a good driver :) and like going on a tour with a friend. We highly recommend him.

Awesome trip! We were able to experience amazing wineries with views of the valley. We learned about the winemaking process and got to take a river cruise. Great food for lunch and wine tastings all along the way. Jose was an excellent guide for the group of seven that were part of our tour.

Our tour with Pedro was fantastic! Pedro was excellent in giving good commentary about the region during our drive, as well as he attended to our every need throughout the day. The scenery was breathtaking and the wines were delicious! A small group of 8 was the perfect choice for an intimate trip. Thanks Pedro, for a memorable journey to the Duoro Valley! ☺️🤗 🍷

We had the best day exploring the Douro Valley and sampling endless wines! Jose was an amazing tour guide and we all walked away with so much knowledge about wine and the area in which it was grown. Each of the stops was unique and it was so much fun trying the different wines (and snacks) and lunch at the last stop was delicious. We would highly recommend this tour!

What a great trip with Jose! We were considering not doing a tour and driving ourselves. So glad we didn't because Jose took care of everything and I didn't have to worry about sampling too much wine. All the stops were spot on and Jose even provided us with dinner suggestions for the remainder of the trip. He provided us with so much background of Porto that was very appreciated
