This was one of the most incredible, unique, and exhilarating experiences I’ve ever had the privilege of partaking in. I had such an amazing time that I feel like this review is going to sound fake hahah but it really was one of the most fun days I’ve ever had.

Tour Guide:
My group had the privilege of having Pepe as our tour guide. He was super social, accommodating, funny, friendly, knowledgeable, and just fantastic to be around. I (27F) did the tour with my sister (22F) and husband (30M). In our group was also two other families and a few couples. Pepe was super great with everyone. One of the families was traveling with their daughter with Down syndrome and Pepe was super accommodating to her - made sure she was always comfortable, was patient when she was afraid, helped ease nerves, etc. He was also super helpful to other people in the group who were anxious or afraid to try certain activities and always offered to do things with them or give them examples of how to do the activities. He spoke with my sister and I about our careers (teachers) and was super personable when doing so. He shared his experiences with working with people with disabilities (I am a special education teacher) and how his mother was a therapist for kids with disabilities. He also spoke with my sister about her experiences in learning Spanish. He also taught us so much about the different cenotes and animals in the habitat. He was just all around super amazing.

Photographer:
Our photographer was Cas and he was also super friendly and took some amazing photos. Photo package price varies based on how many people are in your group. For 3 people it was 105USD at the time of my trip which is honestly pretty reasonable (we got 144 photos and they were all super nice).

Activities:
This tour had so many amazing activities: zip-lining, snorkeling, swimming, rappelling, water slides, and “cliff” jumping (it’s not too high of a jump that it’s too scary). You get the opportunity to try some of the activities more than once as well which was super nice because the first time can be pretty intimidating and scary but after you do it once you realize just how fun (and safe) it is and are willing to do it more and try different things with it. They were so reasonably paced as well. I never felt rushed or like we had too much time at any cenote/activity. It was literally perfectly paced.

Lunch:
The lunch was actually amazing which I was not expecting. It was make-your-own sandwiches with sooo many different yummy and FRESH toppings and sides and drinks.

Transportation:
Transport van was very nice, cool, spacious, relaxing and had wifi which was nice.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVED this excursion/tour and would absolutely recommend it to anyone and everyone.

We recently stayed at Xcaret Hoteles Mexico and did most of the parks. Xenotes was by far the favorite from everyone in my family. Gabby was a great guide and made everyone comfortable and ensured everyone had fun. She even got my daughter to do ok of the activities and she is deathly afraid of heights. My only complaint is that it didn’t last longer. Beautiful and wonderful experience. Want to go back just to do it again

Gabby was our guide for this experience. She is one of the best guides I have ever had. I am 52 years old. She is informative, considerate, conscientious, warm and engaging. Gabby was the best guide we had at Xcaret and we did all the Xcaret experiences. This experience was fun for everyone in our party. I’m glad I did it.

This was one of my son’s favorite days of our trip! The cenotes were beautiful and all the different experiences of “rappelling”, zip lining, kayaking, cliff jumping and swimming were so much fun. Our photographer took hundreds of awesome photos to capture the memories. There was a bit of waiting in line at the first place but after that it flowed much better. You are in a group with about 15-20 people and you stay with your guide and photographer throughout.

We took this tour from Hotel Xcaret and had an amazing time! Noe was our tour guide, and Araceli was our photographer. Both of them busted their butts all day to make sure that our entire group had an amazing time. Noe was so friendly and fun! We were the “sexy group”, according to him, and every time we move from one area to the next he would yell “Sexy group!”, and we’d all come running!
The day started out with rappelling into a cenote, then doing a small cliff jump inside the cenote. Tip: rappelling in upside down like Spiderman! It’s not as scary as it looks, and you’ll get a rad picture out of it!
Next was kayaking in a cenote. Part of the cenote as we walked to the kayaks had collapsed, and there were so many beautiful butterflies all over the place!
After that, we swam in a cenote. This was my least favorite part because there wasn’t much to see. They gave us goggles to look at the lily pads growing under the water, but there wasn’t much else.

Up next was ziplining into an open cenote. You could use a swing in one of three positions, or use a bar that you hang onto. The bar was easy to hold onto, which was a relief, because I was scared of falling immediately. I also tried the swing upside down. I recommend upside down as it looks coolest, and is actually not that hard at all. Avoid the Superman swing- everyone that tried it in our group had a hard time. We each got to use the zip line 3 times.
After that was a picnic lunch of cold cuts and breads. My daughter doesn’t like cold food, so we made sure she had a big breakfast before heading out. You will get very hungry! I liked the prosciutto and tuna sashimi.
The last stop was a slide, another bar zip line, a swim in a cenote, and the final cliff jump, or “Mayan sacrifice”. This was the thing I was sure I would skip, but I ended up doing it twice! It’s about 20-30 feet, and really fun! Just get a running start and don’t think about it too much or you’ll chicken out like my wife did the first time we were supposed to jump together. Don’t worry- she redeemed herself by doing it eventually!
Thank you so much to Noe and Araceli for an amazing day!

Aldo was a delightful guide who made the trip to 4 different cenote sites a lot of fun. He watched out for our safety when needed and was thorough in giving us information. Even worked in some interesting facts about the environment, culture, and history of the Yucatán.
