The hop on off over booked and over crowded
The rail transfer instructions were poor. All in all, a poor experience

Great option for travelers who stop for cruises. We stopped for the day on Carnival. The DoDublin workers were easy to spot outside the train station and gave us easy and specific instructions. Round trip train ticket to and from Dublin city center was included. If you do the whole bus route without getting off it’s about 90 minutes. However, many stops were close together so you can easily walk between them or around the big tourist sites. We would highly recommend for other cruisers! You can also show your QR ticket code at a couple restaurants and get buy 1 get 1 free lunch meals.

Bus was so crowded we had to sit for most of the ride. When we finally got seats they were in the back facing backwards with dirty windows making it difficult to see any thing. Will be requesting a refund.

We were delighted to learn that the excursion included round-trip rail transfer. This is NOT clearly stated in the description. Unfortunately, we were delayed getting tenders from our cruise ship into port due to high"ish" seas and this definitely shortened our day and abbreviated our plans. That said, it was fairly easy to find the Hop-on Hop-off staff upon arriving in Dun Laoghaire and getting the DART into Dublin. This is a good way to get around Dublin and see the city in a short amount of time.

The Hop-On/Hop-Off is a great way to get an overview of the city when on a limited time schedule. The driver was very entertaining and funny! We happened to have this tour on a bank holiday in Scotland, and the train into Dublin was not running that day due to a scheduled maintenance. But, the Hop-On/Hop-off buses were at the dock instead to take us into town and begin our tour of the city. The driver was very specific on communicating when and where to catch the bus to take us directly back to the pier for the ship.

The guides on shore were clear and helpful on directing us to the train station.
Upon one arrival in Dublin we easily found the HOHO bus. We enjoyed the tour and commentary.

Beautiful drive, humorous driver. On time . Good route to see lots of good sites. Thanks for coming to the dock to pick up passengers due to changes of public transportation ( train did work on that day)
