This 4 hour food tour of Montreal’s historic Jewish neighborhoods begins at a beloved smoked meat deli, and only gets better from there. Your guide will lead you to a slew of other neighborhood eateries. There will be a rival smoked meat location, two rival bagel shops, a bakery for some sweets, an ice cream stop, a unique diner and an Israeli falafel stop. The tour is full of history of the Jewish community and each establishment as well as all of the significant landmarks along the way.

The Jewish Neighborhood food tour was an amazing experience. Every bite of food we had was delicious. The tour covers a fair amount of distance but the pace was very manageable for a wide range of people in our group. Beyond the food, the tour also covered on the history of the Jewish people in Montreal. We would recommend anyone who has an interest attend this tour and we are excited to try some of the companies other food tour offerings.

We do a lot of city tours as a family and this was one of the best. Our guide, Darren, went above and beyond, sharing personal experience of growing up in Jewish Montreal, weaving in history, anecdotes and even poetry into the visits to taste the best from iconic Montreal Jewish food establishments.
When they say to come hungry, it’s true. You will be pleasantly stuffed by the end and the long walk is definitely helpful to keep you going.
Highly recommended!

What a great tour! Francis, our guide, had so much knowledge about the history of the Jewish community and Montreal in general! There was not a question she couldn't answer!
And the food!!!
THE FOOD!!!
Such a great variety and the portions were so generous that I couldn't eat for the rest of the day and evening! If you want a great tour with a plethora of information and great food, I highly recommend this Jewish Food Tour with Tour de Table! You will not be disappointed! Thanks again for a great day!

We had a great tour. The food was amazing- the best I had in all of Canada. Darren was very knowledgeable about the Jewish culture and the neighborhood in which we walked. Water was provided, which was nice on a hot day. What other reviewers said was true- in several places the restaurants were so small that there was no room to sit, so we ate on the sidewalk. Not ideal, but I’d rather have fantastic food and no seating than go to a place that might not be as good just because they are larger.

The food on this tour is plentiful and SO delicious! We had to take some home with us because it was just so much for one day. The first stop, a great deli, was my favorite, but there's a stop for babka later that was a verrrry close second. It's a pretty long tour and I think some of the stopping points could be shortened or cut out, but all of the food was on point. Still thinking about the babka!

The tour guide seemed under-prepared, and distracted and talked about herself more than about the subject matter. The food was very good, but she didn't tie it all together. Overall it was unprofessional.

All the venues and the actual history of the area. Melissa had lots of historical info and combined it with visual citing of the neighborhoods

Melissa knows her stuff and she communicated it well. This was a very comprehensive tour with lots of good stories and food. This has many more stops than I was used to and it was spaced out just right as to not make me super full and turn down any food samplings. The portions as a single participant were great. Full bagels, half sandwiches and pastries that were out of this world. There was a good deal of walking, but not so much as to make me tired at any one point without a stop for a nosh. There was some flexibility in the tastings as one place was closed for the high holy days, we were able to get something in place of it. This tour hits the Jewish hot spots and every place you should be trying as a Jew in Montreal. It was great and I would definitely recommend
