-Hike through a secret path into Fushimi Inari Shrine.
Even though there is Fushi-inari station, we start the tour from Tofukuji station because we enter Fushi-inari shrine from back side of main entrance.
-Journey into a secret bamboo forest
We will discover a natural bamboo forest, and a small Inari shrine hidden from tourists. Fushimi Inari's main entrance is hard to navigate due to a lot of people, but by walking through the mountains, we will see Fushimi Inari from a new perspective, away from the crowd.
-Return to civilization after a breathtaking view atop the mountains of Fushimi Inari
From here on, we will explore tourist areas on the way to the top of the mountain. Tour routes may vary, but it will end somewhere around the main shrine.

Had an amazing time with Yukari and Louis hiking and seeing shrines. They were both so knowledgeable and fun to talk to as we made our way through the mountain. This was my favorite thing I did in Kyoto mainly because of them!

Amazing walk upon the mountain, Yukari guided us through the secret paths with tons of information and beautiful views. Would recommend!

We really enjoyed this trip. We took an alternative route, so we avoided most of the crowds without missing any of the sights! Yukari was a great guide, knowledgeable, sociable and her English was fluent! Would recommend this to anyone :) A highlight of our trip to Kyoto.

Yukari led our tour group and was amazing. The path we took helped us to avoid the crowds and she explained everything we saw. Would definitely go on another tour led by her!

Our guide Yuko shared a magic and private tour of Kyoto.
He provided great info about the significance of the sites - not too little, not too much - and some really nice conversation about living in Japan.
We got to see a beautiful site and the must do experiences from a different angle with access to beautiful and quiet walking trails in a crazy busy tourist spot.

Makoto and Moeka were the greatest guides. The tour was fantastic and getting to see Fushimi Inari from a different angle was fantastic, what a relief to take a quieter route. The information they shared was so fascinating and we loved learning more about the shrines and Shinto religion. Would definitely recommend if you want to see some beautiful, peaceful spots away from the crowds.

Fantastic tour! We are so glad we did this tour instead of exploring Fushimi Inari on our own. Yukari was a terrific guide - professional, knowledgeable, and fun to spend time with. She took us through a challenging mountain/forest hike and our small tour group (just five of us) was by ourselves for most of the hike. We of course ran into more tourists as we got to the gates and shrines, but going on this tour was much more enjoyable and secluded. Yukari also did a wonderful job explaining what we were seeing - the religious, historical and cultural significance. She answered our questions and was just a joy. (She even helped my husband and me find the subway after the tour!) This was a wonderful experience and we highly recommend it!
