Minitrekking is a Full day Excursion that allows you to walk on the top of a Moreno Glacier with crampons.
Operation from August to May.
Does not operate during June and July.
Duration: 10 hours
Trekking on the Ice: About an hour and a half.
Total trekking time: approximately 3 hours.
Warning: this excursion, due to the degree of effort and difficulty that presents, is not advisable for the following people: greater of 65 years and minors of 10 years old, pregnant women, people with overweight or some type of disability.

I know it’s a bit pricey, but i enjoyed the day out, which included a mini trek of the glacier, plus the views later on from the 2.5km walkways were out of this world!

This is by far one of the coolest things I've ever gotten to do. The entire time we just kept looking around us in awe of where we actually were. Definitely go do this. It's easy with the tour company taking care of everything and the route being kept very safe and clear. Crampons are not hard to walk with if you follow the instructions of your guide. I highly recommend crossing "trek on a glacier" off of your bucket list.

The trip was fun. Guides were decent. Why I only gave it average stars was because Viator WAY overcharged for the trip.
I was on the same tour with 2 other English speakers. I paid $395 USD booking through Viator. Another lady stated she paid $250 booking in town. A guy said he paid $280. All these prices for the exact same trip!
I used to trust Viator that they gave good rates for tours. Now I will NOT. This was really a rip off compared to what other people paid.

Minitrek was a great relaxing excursion! The tour hosts were great (thanks to Jorje our driver and Jorjelina our guide). The team at Hielo were very friendly, they are the only company that actually hosts the tour. Many thanks to our guides Sebastian and Miguel who were very informative, kept us safe on the ice.
The trek itself was much easier than expected, not very difficult, with some guard rails to assist along the way. Lots of photo opportunities. Whiskey at the end was a great finishing touch.

An incredible and surreal experience. It gives you the dimension of what Perito Moreno is! The tip is to book the tour in advance (2 months) to be sure. Hiking boots, gloves and a windproof jacket are essential items. Walk of medium difficulty and at the end we toast the experience with whiskey and ice from the glacier! Amazing!
