Fun afternoon with Icelandic horses. They try to match your riding ability to the horses and take you on a very pretty ride. Pickup/dropoff from hotel were timely. Most of the staff was very friendly!

Easy to get to from Reykjavik, easy check in. Nice ride not too steep, couple of faster sections for horses, they'll take some good pics in a scenic area. Overall a good experience. Friendly people too

What can I say about these sturdy little Icelandic horses? They're surefooted, sweet tempered and very, very easy to get on and off. Great ride through the mountains close to the city. Great guides/trainers who the horses trust and so do the riders..

A great experience - the horses are nice and the path is long and winding. You get to experience Iceland's unique landscape from lichen-covered lava rocks to silent pine forests. Note the rise is dusty so use the provided pants and jackets. A must-do if you are in Iceland!

Guides were great and horses beautiful and gentle - close to town so the ride started out a little urban but soon we were in the lava floes with better scenery - and less wind!!! First hill was brutal with blowing cold and sleet but that’s Iceland!

The tour was our first horse riding experience and def would not be the last. My 10 year old wasn’t feeling the tour at first but eventually end up loving it. The tour guides are more than helpful and knowledgeable. They made my son feel comfortable riding with them alone. Thank you so much to the whole crew! It is an absolute must do when you’re in Reykjavík!!!

The Icelandic Horses are amazing. It was a beautiful 2 hour excursion through red lava fields with very experienced guides.
We made our reservations at the last minute. We had a very tight time, schedule in order to make our plane in the afternoon They picked us up at the hotel in the morning and brought us back. When I had a question, I telephoned them and they responded immediately. we would highly recommend

Our ride was everything I’d hoped would be. Our ponies had the perfect personalities (ponyalities?) to match our own. My pony, Spirit, lived up to his name in all the right ways.
The scenery was beautiful, the guides were knowledgeable and friendly.
Highly recommend!

We had the best day with our guides. It was only 3 of us in total which was a bonus .
The horses were so sweet, well trained and maintained. The guides were great and so helpful.

This was a bucket list event! The Solhestar horses were so beautiful, well cared for, and loved. During the ride, we all did a collected trot but then you had the option of just walking or continuing with a faster pace. (Our group was 5 people, three of whom were by themselves. Four had not ridden in years and one who had never ridden.) The scenery through an ancient lava field was amazing.
Our guides, Claudia and Clara, were well versed in horsemanship and the local area. They were kind, pleasant, helpful, and very informative.
We were picked up at bus stop #4, which made this event even easier.
This has been the highlight of my trip, so far. I would recommend it to everyone!
