Later, we’ll invite you to our cozy cooking studio, located inside a colonial times house (two blocks away from the market), where you’ll step back in time to enjoy a modern Peruvian cooking class guided by a professional Peruvian chef.

We booked this cooking class in Cusco with our 4 teenagers and it was one of our favorite things we did! Chef Alvaro met us at the local market and introduced us to some of the different foods in Peru. Then, he took us all back to the cooking studio to start the class.
We started by making Pisco Sours while Chef Alvaro taught us about the history of the drink. They were delicious and the kids were able to make non-alcoholic versions that they loved.
Then, we made ceviche, alpaca tenderloin and potatoes, and a fruit dessert. Chef Alvaro was so helpful and patient with all of us and taught us how to make all of this delicious food. Everything was wonderful and it was such a great way to experience the culture of the city! We all had a great time and would highly recommend this experience to all who visit Cusco!

We loved visiting the market. Chef Alvaro was wonderful. Food and drinks were great . Learned a bit about Peruvian food. Great step by step instructions Hope to make it again soon! Small group made it fun

Highlight of our time in Cusco! Alvaro was amazing in terms of the tour of the market, instruction of cooking , and information about cultural, historical, and culinary elements of the land. He also was very funny and personable! Had a blast and got to experience the authentic foods of peru!!

Wow! Just so much fun from beginning to end. Alvaro is a delight. So knowledgeable about Peruvian history especially foods. The tour at the market is informative. And then the wonderful location where you prepare your meal! Just lovely! I ran into a woman from my US hometown in our class! Small world!

For our last day in Cusco, we chose one of the best activities of this vacation. In the company of chef Alvaro we had the opportunity to visit the San Pedro Market and learn a little about local products. Then we went to a house where the cooking studio was located a few meters from the market and it was a tremendous experience, fun, enriching, since we met and learned to cook a sample of the local cuisine and on top of that we shared a pleasant time with another couple. Chef Alvaro, very knowledgeable about cooking, explained everything clearly to us and was always very open to answering all our questions. Tremendous experience, 100% recommended.

Had a good time looking around the market and taking part in the cooking class. Despite me running late they were helpful and understanding and got me to where I needed to be. The classroom/kitchen looked professional and well equipped It was nice to eat as a group in the dining area. We made 3 dishes which was enjoyable.
