The "alfresco" ride in the open air trolley-bus gave us a more natural and visceral wine country experience, and nicely dialed in on the boutique winery genre!

It was a fun day traveling around Napa Valley on the trolley with Sam. It’s an expensive day but you do get a lot history and educated on the wine making process. I understand the tasting fees are not included but it would be nice to have an option for non drinkers to pay a lower fee per winery. We visited Castello de Amorosa, Raymond and Back Stage. My favorite winery was Castello de Amorosa for their wines and the astomphere. I found the Back Stage winery to be the most personable and I gained so much knowledge about wines. It was awesome that the owner/wine maker took time out of his day to spend with us. I would definitely do another wine tasting tour in Napa Valley if we ever make it back.

This was a wonderful day trip. Our driver, Sam, was very informative and made the trip fun. Some on our trip did not know that entrance to the wineries was not included in our cost of the trip, so some were not prepared for those extra costs.the Castle winery, Raymond, and backstage we’re all excellent as were the hosts at each location. Lunch was also excellent and was included in the cost of the trip. We had a fun day!

Such a fun way to explore the wineries of the Napa valley. A very varied experience of tasting rooms, however at each the service was excellent. Special shout out to backstage as we not only had a very knowledgeable host he just so happened to be the wine maker and owner. Lunch at tra vigne was lovely as well. In all a very good day.

First time to Napa Valley for my daughter and me. This is the only wine tour we went on, which was super fun. Each winery introduced us to several red and white wines along with interesting info on vineyard histories. I would recommend this tour to any Napa Valley first-timer.

Sam was an amazing tour guide an knew all about the areas. If you love chardonnay and dry wines this is the tour for you. You will have to pay about 50 dollars at each place for the wine tasting but you get to tour the castle and full winery at the second place the third os just a tasting.

My friends and I really enjoyed this tour. The guide, Sam, gave some great commentary on the way up valley to the first winery and after that he played music. We enjoyed the three different wineries we toured - they were all so different! We went to Castello Amoroso, Raymond and Backstage. As a heads up, you’ll spend $150 in fees a person between the three stops. But the tastings were worth it to us. Entertaining, interesting experiences. We also liked the lunch. It was salad and pizza at a restaurant and that was included. We would all recommend this tour!

The stories and history the driver told. The out of the way wineries we would never visit on our own. We really loved the whole day, even in the heat. The lunch was very good! Especially the mushroom pizza. This was the classic tour as the up valley was not available.

The only reason for the 1 star is the misleading I felt by the trolley company. The wineries were fantastic!

I am not someone who normally
complains for writes reviews but I was taken advantage of and feel I was bambozzled and scammed in EVERY sense of the word. We had a party of 6, so spent a hefty amount to begin with on the trolley. We understood that the tastings were not included and had hoped to buy a bottle or two at each winery and enjoy. However, the first stop- the castle, we were told by the trolley driver that the tour and tasting were all one price and we did not have a choice of not buying that package. There was NO tour. All the rooms for the self guided were closed. Yes, we had the tasting but it was an additional $60 per person. No discount if you purchased and bottles.
Second stop- we were basically ushered into a tour and tasting without an option to opt out. $50 per person, even though one of us didn’t partake in the tasting.
Third stop- again ushered in to a tasting with no tour. $40 per person! A wine glass put in our hand with no information on what was next.

The tour guide/driver (Sam) basically forced us into tastings and tours and cost us $150 extra per person! And he did NOT provide a more any information or guidance than a glorified Uber driver.

I feel ripped off worse than when I went to Disney or a time share presentation.
