With a mix of cultural influences on the nation's cuisine, it's no wonder that Malaysian food is a lip-smackingly complex beast.
We'll meet in the old district of Chow Kit and Kampung Baru, one of the last remaining districts that is yet to be developed into glassy high rises.
Don't expect other foreigners. Stroll in this local neighbourhood of nightly street eats, sampling a variety of 15+ tastings, carefully curated for their culinary history.
The flavours change across the year, but highlights include the fragrant bowls of laksa, hand stretched rotis, nasi lemak with piquant sambal and herbal chicken rendang, charcoal-grilled mackerel, and soothing iced cendol with custard-like durian. We'll end with a fine view of the mighty Petronas Twin Towers.
I'm sure you have a lot of your plate, but here's some food for thought. While it's possible to attempt such a culinary marathon yourself, you'd be one sandwich short of a Malaysian picnic not to join me on our moveable food feast.

I went on this tour with my 2 teenage children. We all had a fabulous time and Kiran, our host, gave us so much background on the food, as well as local culture and history. As it was a small group we all got to know each other quickly, which made it even more enjoyable. The tour covers small local places that I would never have known about or found on my own. We highly recommend it!

This tour was all we were looking for and more. We tasted the most amazing and truly authentic array of foods, finishing the night full and contented.
Kiran was an amazing guide talking us through not just the foods we were sampling but also the history of the areas we were in.
If you always wanted to try the local street food but were daunted by the decision , what and from where, then this is the perfect way to immerse yourself in the food scene.
We would definitely recommend this tour

First of all, let me just talk about Nadia. The amazing commentary she provided from the start of the tour to the end was mind-blowing. The way she explained the spices, vegetables, and meats beforehand, and then served us the same food, was both informative and surprising.
Most importantly, her attention to hygiene was remarkable; she cared for us like a mother. Additionally, the way she helped us cross the road and interact with the locals was excellent.
Of course, the food at every station was amazing and satisfactory. It was an incredible food tour with her!

This was one of our favourite food tours, ever! We try to do food tours most cities we visit and this has to be an absolute highlight. Nadia and Ian were fantastic. We loved that it included (1) local market highlights, and (2) a bit of a city/history tour in addition to the food. The food was AMAZING. So many dishes, I would definitely recommend doing this at the start of your time in KL to find out what you do/don't like. I loved getting to try making out own roti! 1000% recommend.

Absolutely loved this tour on my first night in KL. We got to taste loads of authentic food through the local villages. We hsd Kiran as our guide who grew up in the area so shared so many interesting stories along the way.
We not only sampled a lot of food but Kiran shared a lot of history about Malaysia.
This was really well organised and professional. I would recommend doing this tour on your first day so you get comfy going into local placed to eat instead of the tourist spots. They are more than welcoming.
Love, Love, Loved it.
