We had a good day at the waterpark with the family. Slides were well maintained. Staff was very friendly. Compared to other park (e.g. Siam Park in Tenerife) the park itself is quite old and needs renovation and is not cleaned very well. It really comes down to the little things where the park in may opinion disappoints… Spent over EUR 150.- on tickets, food and drinks as well as the bus ticket back to the hotel.

This place is great! We went first week of summer holidays so was really busy but our experience was really good. The park and all the attendants managed the queues and volume really well you didn’t wait that long. My kids are 15 and 12 and loved the rides here.
Food is fairly reasonable for a park and the pizzas are excellent!

Beautiful water park with fun slides. Everything very neatly taken care of, and enough rescuers. No super-spectacular slides, but still good for a lot of fun. Sunbeds and umbrellas are included. Snack bars are reasonably priced, by the way, and the food is pretty good too. Crowds were also not too bad in mid-July.

Loved this waterpark. Went with 12,16 18 yo. Stayed for the entire day. I love these waterpark whereby all the slides are on the same level. Loved the tier system, you knew which one were the faster slides by the numbers. Cashless worked out great, no carrying wallets, cards etc, Food and drinks really good quality for a waterpark! Out only negative would be the shower:toilet facilities quite old. We went to another local water park and would definitely choose this one!!

Overview:

The water park in itself is good. There are a variety of slides and other features that kept my son and I amused for about 5 hours. These appeared to be well maintained and clean. Queues varied on these - but there was always one or two slides that didn't require a long waiting time. I think that about 5 hours was the perfect time to set aside for a visit with one child (of about 7-10). We didn't feel rushed, got to everything we could go on, and had time for rest break.

Positives:

I appreciated the wrist band credit system as it meant that everything could be purchased by scanning your code, and then paying at the end. This saved me from carrying cash/card, and then risk losing them. I'd advise keeping an eye on your receipt tally as not everything is clearly coated, so the €100 credit limit could go quickly if you were feeding a large group.

The lockers use an NFC rubber wristband and cost €6 (with €2 returnable deposit) which can be obtained at the small shop next to the storage area. It was good having a rubber wristband to access your storage, and not rely on a traditional coin/key system. It was also handy that you could access the locker as many times as you wanted throughout the day. However, many were broken and the first Locker I tried would not lock properly. Staff were on hand to assist me in this instance (and it appeared to be a common occurrence), so don't be shy about asking for help.

Negatives:

My biggest issue was with the arbitrary rules and systems in place regarding the rides. There is a 3 tier system with people being able to go on slides depending on... well, still I'm not exactly sure to be honest!!!

Nobody asked for my son's age and there aren't any measuring sticks/size guides. My best guess is that the lady issuing wristbands at the front was eye-balling people's height and handing out different coloured bands accordingly (which correspond with the tier system). This system doesn't work as there was children, smaller than my son, waiting in line for tier 3 slides that he could not access (2 being his limit). Perhaps it is not based on age or height, as I assumed, but rather who you know that works there.

Confusingly, there was a zip-line that was tier 2 ride. On paper, and by the parks own rules, my son should have been a able to go on this - but we were told that he was too small. All of this would have been avoided if Water City adopted a size based system like literally every other water/theme park I have been to. That way, you could see at a glance who was tall enough to go on any particular slide (and who wasn't). It is baffling why this simple system isn't used here. If you are going with a child, be aware that they may not have access to a large proportion of the rides. I'd say about 50% rides are off limit to children.

On the point of signage, the corresponding sign for many slides was all to often placed inconveniently - and not always visible to people when starting a queue. On more than one occasion, we waited in a queue for a bit only to see the corresponding sign when we got near the end of the line. It would have been better to have multiple information signs spread across the pathway that a queue takes. This way you could see immediately if a slide is appropriate for you before waiting in line. I'd recommend trying to spot the sign and make sure it was suitable for you before just joining a queue.

There are weird inconsistencies in the rules imposed in this park. Absolutely no water hat or sunglasses on slides (which I can largely understand), but it is okay to go on with a go-pro whilst smoking a cigarette. I'm not following the logic. I'd advise either leaving the hat/sunglasses or go with swim wear that has a pocket. Also, definitely bring swim shoes if you have them. The pathways can get very hot and can really roast the soles of your feet.

Another rule is the rubber ring/colour based system. Men must have a blue ring, women need a yellow, and child a small multi-coloured one... except when staff decide otherwise. On a few occasions life guards decided that particular ladies needed a blue ring. In these instances the life guards came away from their post (and effectively stopped watching the ride) whilst they went down the queue deciding on how to redistribute the rings. Long story short, a smaller male ended up with a yellow ring so that the lady had a blue one. It would obviously be better to allocate rings on a small, medium, and large basis - instead of gendering them which was demonstrably meaningless and is likely to cause offence. Only advice here is to be mentally prepared for this.

Last small point - queue jumping is commonplace and not dealt with my life guards (perhaps because they are too busy telling ladies that they are too big, without saying it). As above, I can't advise on how to avoid this - but maybe give the whole thing a miss if this is the sort of thing that annoys you.

Conclusion:

All things said, a fairly good water park. I'm sure that it would be fun for teenagers/adult groups. Weird rules and organisation mean that I've had far better water park experiences in the Mediterranean in recent years.

The Award is really expensive for what it is.
We have arrived at the opening and we have little to follow the slides without waiting and with buoys always available.
From 11:30 am more buoys, people keep them with them for the day and do not rest after their slide so in the afternoon we could not do a single slide with buoy that is why we left at 3:30 pm.
There are not many water slides compared to classic water parks that we can do in France.
Bracelet system for all purchases is very convenient.
Award of lockers 4€
Pros: cheap food for a park (10€ pizza - 8,50€ burger - fries), lots of deckchairs available.

We went as two adults and two teens and had a fantastic time. Saw some previous reviews saying it was a bit tired but it must have had a refurb as it was all lovely. Not the biggest park with the most rides, but plenty for one day. We went early July before the school holidays and barely queued for anything, it was great!

Exceptionally welcomed by Sophia at the reception who was adorable and even made the effort to speak to us in French you will recognize her is a pretty young woman with long curly hair. A great day with our three children aged 5 to 14 who had a great time. The slides are great and the food is just the best I could eat in a water park with lots of choices of fresh produce like for fish and chips. They have lots of choices in shops as a souvenir or as equipment if you forgot. Put the main advantage is that all your purchases are scanned with your bracelet so you do not need to walk around with cash or your credit card within the park you consume and you pay in the end really great idea! We will return

Well thought out water park, it’s easy to get around and unlike a lot of water parks I’ve been to in Spain the loungers are free :-) really great for children of all ages, the staff were helpful and the choices of food and drink inside the park were good. Only grumble would be that there weren’t enough changing rooms so we had to queue
