Absolutely wonderful! Definitely recommend this tour for families our guide Angel and our driver Candyman were excellent. Informative, funny, and helpful. I went with my husband and 7 and 9 year olds. Everyone had a fantastic time. The drive up the mountain was wonderful. The monkeys were sweet and gentle, and the whole thing was very professional.

My wife and I went on the MonkeyLand tour. The Large A/C tour bus picked us up from Excellence El Carmen. Daniel was our driver - he was excellent. Angel was our guide. We learned so much about Punta Cana and the Dominican Republic from him. We were able to do the coffee/chocolate/Mama Juana tasting before the Monkeys and that seemed like the perfect order to do it in. The walk to both experiences has some stairs and some steep paved paths. We're in our 40s, overweight and out of shape but it wasn't the end of the world. Some elderly or differently abled persons might have some issues. They offered us water on arriving and leaving the area. They had goods for sale, taking cash, card, and Apple Pay but not Google Pay. We paid in American Cash. We didn't have any issues described in the other reviews, our issues were with other customers who wouldn't follow the rules. MonkeyLand has strict safety rules that are easy to follow, to protect the customers and the monkeys. Some people do not listen and that is a shame (a shame that a monkey didn't bite them). It was refreshing that Angel explained to us how our purchases were going to fund the farm and one of the Monkey Feeders told us how the monkeys are not native to the D.R. That honesty meant something to me and made the experience, while somewhat manufactured, seem more genuine.

Monkeyland was a true bucket list experience and a must if visiting the DR. The tour guides and staff are all very kind and you really get great interaction with the monkeys and amazing photo ops. The coffee tasting was a nice touch too!

My wife, daughter (4 years old), and I visited Monkey Land on July 3rd, and overall, we had a fantastic experience. We enjoyed seeing the monkeys and learning about how cacao and coffee are processed. However, we did encounter one significant issue with the pickup.

The driver arrived on time at 1:15 PM, which was appreciated. However, after picking us up, he had to make additional stops to collect other passengers headed to Zipline or Monkey Land. Unfortunately, one group failed to show up, leading the driver to wait and converse with someone for over 15 minutes. During this time, we were in a safari truck with no windows, exposed to the extreme heat. My daughter and other children became very uncomfortable, and it wasn’t until I expressed our concerns that the driver acknowledged the situation, explaining he might get in trouble if he left without the missing passengers.

Despite this inconvenience, the rest of our visit was excellent. The staff was knowledgeable about the monkeys and the cacao and coffee processes. We purchased some mamajuana and cacao, which were a bit pricey but expected for tourists. My wife and daughter had a wonderful time with the monkeys, and we took many great photos, including some professional ones that we bought at the end.

Overall, I’d rate our experience a solid 4 out of 5, primarily due to the discomfort caused by the pickup issue. Everything else was perfect, and we enjoyed our time immensely.

L’activité est très courte. Nous passons plus de temps dans les transports qu’en compagnie des singes. L’activité est dispendieuse pour ce qu’elle est.

My wife loves the furry little critters, so this excursion seemed the perfect opportunity to see them.

The trip starts with a talk and demonstration of the production processes of coconut oil, coffee and chocolate, followed by a tasting session and the chance to sample the local liquor Mammajuana.

After a safety and instruction briefing, you are led as a small group in to a large compound on the hill side. You are given dog food bowls, which your leader then fills with seed and salad. The monkeys then swarm all over you to eat it. You do this at several locations in the compound and spend around 30 minutes with the animals. They are very friendly, soft and nimble creatures.

My wife was delighted with the experience.
