Live a personal step-by-step cooking class to prepare a 4-course Mexican meal!
Discover the simple method to master the real Mexican taste for all your homemade meals.
We’ll share exactly how you can dominate Mexican gastronomy (the most classic Mexican recipes, methods, and kitchen tools) even if you’re not a professional chef.
Experience the local market with your chef-guide and pick up some fresh ingredients while you walk through the different food sections with their variety of herbs, vegetables, meat, and seafood.
Find piñata shops, tortillas Factory (from corn flour to table-ready), pottery, clothes, and some souvenirs.
During our Cancun Mexican Cooking Lesson and Local Market, you will use traditional kitchen tools like the molcajete (stone mortar), comal (flat griddle), and clay pots, and finish by enjoying the 4-course meal you helped to create, accompanied by drinks.

We truly enjoyed the cooking class as a whole. Our family is all about good food and drinks. This class did not disappoint. The guide/chef really educated us on authentic Mexican cooking.
We would have loved to have more food for the price point. That’s our only recommendation.

The guide/chef (Naseem) was very knowledgeable and it was interesting to see the market. Once we got to the restaurant and began cooking, he did a great job of demonstrating the steps and ensuring we did them correctly.

Fun, different & personal experience for our Cancun trip! Great to step away from our resort and typical "excursions". Nassim was our chef and did an awesome job!

Love, love this cooking class excursion. From Mercado 23 where we picked our ingredients including fresh corn tortillas, cheese, meats, fruits and vegetables!! Amazing fruits and vegetables, fresh herbs and nuts. For cooking class, we made fresh guacamole, enchiladas, sopa , quesadilla, rice pudding for dessert. + a margarita… all in an authentic Mexican restaurant (we got to use their kitchen!) - we had a space set off from the kitchen/buffet area. It was perfect. Learned some new techniques and skills. Also got to shop a little at the Mercado 23. Perfect minting and lunch!

Our tour was everything I hoped for and so much more. Diego showed us around the market pointing out fruits and veggies we might not be familiar with. He explained which peppers become others when dried. For example a jalepeno when dried is a chipotle pepper. After picking out the ingredients we needed, we went to the restaurant where we learned to make guacamole, corn tortillas, Enchallidas, sopas, and arroz con leche. At the end of the tour Diego emailed us all of the recipes. If you are looking for a unique experience where you can learn something to take home with you I 100% recommend this tour.

Pros
- Pickup was timely and the transportation was good.
- the cooking class was in a family restaurant. Made our own tortillas, learned tips for guacamole, and much more.
- Diego was an excellent guide, fun and knowledgeable.
- food was good
Cons
- stopping at all the hotels was a bit frustrating and added an hour with other guests not being ready. Not really the tours fault. Just be on time people.
- The market was interesting, but we could have had more information on fruits, veggies ,etc.
- not as much food as indicated. Eat a good breakfast before the tour. We didn't really eat until 2pm.
Overall a great experience and would do it again.
