We had a wonderful evening viewing the National Monuments at Nightime. Our guides Sally (narrator host) and Godfrey(driver) were very skilled at touring the important moments of the tour. Sally has a great delivery of information. She was witty, informative and insightful to the the history behind all the monuments. Her candor and humor sprinkled in with the true reverence for our nation’s historical past made the trip delightful. Godfrey maneuvered adeptly through the city that had several blockades up for the upcoming 4th of July celebration. He always had a smile to share and was great at helping people get on /off the bus. The bus was comfortable and air conditioned which was welcomed on a 95 degree night.
The tour was organized well, it is a bit rushed, but in order to pack in all the stops it has to be punctual.
The history of our nation is a complicated one, in a compact 200 years. Sally delivered us through the history and culture of our nation’s capital. It was so important to get the back story before each stop so that you can soak in the meaning and importance of each monument. The night time views give an ethereal feeling as you visit each spot. The crowds are not nearly what they would be during the day and it was a beautiful night. Each monument was well lit and enjoyable.
I highly recommend this tour. We are visiting from Hawaii and only had one 24 hour period in DC this was a perfect way to get inspired by our Nation’s Capital, where our democracy was born and reigns. Our freedom is not free …as the Korean War memorial reminds us. And Dr King’s quote: we must focus on the positive affirmation of peace. This really resonated with me and my 16 year old son.
A beautiful tour of Washington DC

Our tour was amazing! Ty the guide was extremely informative and made learning about all the sites fun! The bus was a comfortable and welcome place to rest and cool off from the heat wave in DC this week! Seeing the sites in the evening under the lights was a new and impressive experience! I highly recommend it!

This was an awesome tour and our tour guide was great. I would recommend seeing the monuments at night. The only problem we had was that the Pride parade was going on and our tour bus couldn't pick us up at the designated address and there wasn't very good communication of where to meet instead. Our tour ran behind, but it was still worth it.
