Excellent Tower Tour;
Tell Taxi to Avoid Trafalgar SquareTraffic.
Ritz to Tower=2.8 miles, time by taxi=1.5 hours. Demonstrations and closures around Trafalgar caused 1 hour standstill. On return, driver advised to avoid Trafalgar, which advice he disregarded and it took 1 3/4 hours. Drivers may know London streets but should use Google Maps for real time traffic and routing.

Lucy was a fantastic tour guide. She kept both us adults and my 17, 15 and 11 years old kids engaged too. She was very informative. I highly recommend the private tour- we got to see all the highlights and more. I’ve booked another Viator for Paris after this amazing experience.

The Tower and its history are unparalleled. Walking in the footsteps of 1,000 years of history left us wondering what we haven’t discovered about the Tower and its inhabitants. Our guide Lucy was a very knowledgeable, and her presentation kept your attention. Interesting, funny, and engaging she made history interesting as well as memorable. Denisa, our tour guide, was fantastic! Her stories about events at the tower and the information she provided made the tour a great experience. I also appreciate her flexibility in moving slower and allowing the senior citizens in the group to skip climbing some of the stairs in parts of the Tower.

Pace was determined by our interests and the guide was most informative and met our needs.

Though I’m sure we would have enjoyed the Tower of London on our own or with a larger group tour, there is no comparison to a private tour. To have an expert guide escort you through the grounds and buildings while providing so much historical information and little factoids really made our visit to the Tower so special. Our guide Denisa was very knowledgeable and a wonderful storyteller. We never felt rushed and she knew all the little cubbies to tuck into to share some special points with just our group (we were there on a holiday week so a bit crowded). We all agreed our tour was well worth the cost and we highly recommend.

Our guide Denisa was great! Met her right outside the entrance, she made it a breeze to get in since she had all the tickets with her. There were three adults and 3 kids aging from 5 to 7 years old. She made it very interesting for the kids, know how to answer all of their questions, and shared a lot of history with us! Would definitely recommend booking!
