Its name was given by the Venetian Giacomo Barozzi due to the presence of a chapel dedicated to Saint Irene. It is considered by many the lost continent of Atlantis.
The island is fascinating and it is the ideal time to photograph the town of Fira, with its white houses perched on the hillside overlooking the volcano.

Everything Greca scheduled for us happened perfectly. Their guides met us at the exact time and locations as described in their emails. When they met us they explained everything very well as to what the excursions would cover. The views were amazing at each location. We would highly recommend Greca to all our friends and family!
