The Secret Foods tour of the Sant Ambroglio area of Florence was excellent and was a highlight of my trip. Our guide Paolo was very knowledgeable and helpful, answering all our questions and ensuring to chat personally with everyone on the tour. The food was excellent, I certainly got my money's worth and I tried a local delicacy, Lampredotto, which I might not otherwise have tried. Also, I had to change the date of my tour several times due to illness and the customer service in this regard was excellent. I will definitely take more Secret Food Tours in the future.

This tour was excellent, and my girlfriend and I highly recommend it! Excellent food in authentic, local spots, with a good mix of history along the way. Our tour guide Lorenzo was the man - thank you, Lorenzo!

If you’ve never been to Florence and aren’t much of a foodie but want a general guide through some typical dishes this is a perfect little walk. Our guide was very nice but the couples I went on the tour with with were more interested in talking about their own country than learning anything about Florence. So, I can’t say the tour was filled with a lot of good info. I think the tour guide just gave up and let these people talk. The food stops were good, but again, not much explanation of the history behind the places or the food.

Excellent tour. Only 4 of us so very personalised. Paolo was really informative and clearly really passionate about the city, its history, geography and the food which plays such a big bit part of it. We had a really lovely morning and would highly recommend. Very easy walking and many stops so very accessible. Plenty of food (and wine), come hungry!

Lella was so sweet and made the experience so fun! We arrived late and the owner was so helpful in getting us to the location. The food was delicious and we enjoyed meeting the other people on the tour!

Paolo was incredible! He was very knowledgeable, friendly, charming and very attentive. I could not recommend taking a tour with him more highly. We learned so much about Florence, and he even stayed with us for a bit after the tour to show us a wine window we had asked about. He was absolutely one of the highlights of our trip to Florence, and you will not regret a tour with him!

We celebrated our Anniversary with this fine tour in Florence. Together with 10 other lovely guests we were taken by Paolo to some great places where we had different kinds of typical Tuscan food. Paolo is a very nice person and he has a lot of knowledge about everything that belongs to this beautiful city. He made this tour to be something special for us. We would love to go on another tour with Paolo in the future. Booking a Secret Food Tour on this special date was definitely worth it.

Our tour guide, Paolo, was very friendly and knowledgeable. He instantly made you feel like a family member who he was showing around town. Instead of visiting the typical touristy restaurants, my wife and I were able to experience foods we probably never would have found without this tour. Everything was unique in that there was something in every place we visited that was not on the menu in the rest of the restaurants, cafes, and gelaterias that we visited while we were in Florence. Whether it was a pasta style unique to a particular restaurant, a gelateria where the owner is moving back and forth from serving gelato in the front to making new batches of gelato as you watch in the back. We were able to walk through and sample fresh fruits from the local farmers markets, and a charcuterie tray from a local maccheria. One thing that surprised me was one of the local street food vendors making a dish with stomach. Some people tried it, others did not. I am soooo glad to say I tried it because it was very tender, and the broth and spices it was made with was incredible. There were other great stops as well, but that is just more for you to enjoy.

Paolo made the tour complete with his insight and knowledge not only of the food and the places we visited, but also some of the art and history of the places as we moved from location to location. I just have to say, this was a great tour and Paolo did an outstanding job of hosting it.

We visited several places and had many food samples. Started with Biscotti & a Cappuccino, then to Farmers market for 3 types of meats and couple types of cheeses, Olives and Focaccia Sandwiches and bean pods. We also had fresh fruit cups. Then to a street food vendor that served Trippe stew (called something else in Italy) it was very good. This was something I would have not tried if it wasn't for this food tour. Then to some pasta dishes and last to high quality & really delicious gellato. I highly recommend this tour, the walk wasn't out of reason and our tour guide Paulo was very informative and spoke English very well. Enjoy when you go! :-)

Your palate as well as your mind will be satiated on this tour if you have the good fortune of booking with Paolo.
Each stop was thoughtfully chosen and proved to be a experience beyond the mainstream complete with historical accounts of specific areas visited and Italy as a whole.
From local "street food" to the best Gelato I have tasted yet, this tour will not dissapoint.
