We had an amazing time on this tour. Even though it was early, James was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The temple was so quiet at sunrise and that in of itself was worth it.

My enjoyment began immediately after meeting Tom, our guide. He described his experience as a monk. His knowledge, not only of the life of a monk and their teachings, but also the history of the temples and Thailand, was fascinating. Sitting in the temple with the monks, presenting them with their morning meal, and a private meditating session with a monk was an unforgettable experience. The spectacular views added to the whole experience. I plan to return next year!

Amazing day... Well worth waking up early to spend quality time with our amazing guide Tom. The day well surpassed our expectations -- from a surprised meditation with a monk to the constant enthusiasm and wisdom of Tom. Most highly recommended!

Incredible experience! James, tour guide, was very knowledgeable and clearly explained expectations. I think it’s important to do things respectfully whenever on temple grounds and felt fortunate to have a great guide in that aspect. We didn’t see the sunrise due to cloud cover, however that seemed to be the least important thing after experiencing everything, humbling experience. Definitely recommend this tour, its worth waking up at 3am to change your life.

This really made our trip. Such a special place- this morning was truly magical. The one on one time we had with our guide- my daughter asked so many questions and we really got a good grasp of the daily life of the monks. It was so nice to be able to get up to the temple before the crowds came. We were in the temple when they were chanting and mediating. This experience is once in a lifetime - my daughter and I will always remember our special time on the sunrise tour. Having a monk on our private excursion with us really made it so special.

Our guide was knowledgeable and shared his own story. We learned about the day in the life of Buddhist monks and how they play a part in Thai culture. I would recommend this trip to my family and friends. It was worth the money and time to learn.

Tu is friendly and knowledgeable with 11 years being a monk. We enjoyed the tour right away when we started our drive up to the mountain.
Highly recommend for first time Chiang Mai visitors like us.

Tu is an excellent guide. With 11 years of monkhood, he explained to me the in depth concept of Buddhism and prepared me for offering food to the monks. I learnt so much in the tour. Highly recommended.

Our guide James was the nicest and so willing to accommodate to our requests. His english was perfect and he was incredibly knowledgeable. Although an early wake up, we were able to hit all the major temples without any other tourists and we were able to see the Monks chanting and give them offerings. 10/10 and def worth the early morning to beat the heat and the crowds.
