Michal was a great guide and he (and the rest of the group) were very patient with me as I struggled a lot due to having respiratory issues. The struggle was very much worth it though, the views and scenery were spectacular and I really felt like I'd accomplished something by making it to the top of the climbs.

This trip is a must do excursion for anyone willing to drive just 1.5 hours beyond the Prague city limits and end up in a beautiful National Park with rivers, hiking trails, sandstone labyrinths with beautiful vistas with stunning scenery. The day is divided into 3 different hikes about an 1 to 2 hr each, all showcasing the beauty of different areas of the National Parks, including a gondola river ride. Our guide Tomas made sure our trip was perfect, including helping us select the most delicious Czech food at a local restaurant. All around great day with Tomas as our guide and a small group tour of new friends.

We were prepared for a hike suites for beginners/young couple, but it was much tougher than we thought.
The amount of walking compared to view points we saw was terrible,
Launch was also terrible, small dish of 2 snitzels and soup, we left launch starving and went to another hike.
Hiked for over 1 hour in order to have 8 minutes of public boat trip and than hiked back 1 hour to the car.
We were total of 7 people on the trip,
2 just stayed at launch place because it was too hard, the rest sucked it up and felt like we did.

WOW - we couldn't recommend enough! A must-do if you'd like a day exploring beyond central Prague. Marek was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and clearly cared about the national parks as well as our experience. Beautiful scenery, we were lucky to have excellent weather but are sure that if it were to rain the guides are prepared to make the day good regardless. Felt very looked after, pick up and drop off direct from hotel. Smooth throughout the whole day, excellently planned.
Drinks and snacks provided too, going above and beyond for us. Relaxed midday meal, traditional czech menu. Nice group atmosphere too.
A little challenging hiking uphill in the heat, but no pressure to go quickly, and could rest when needed. We were lucky to see a kingfisher whilst walking along the gorge which made our day!
Whole experience was incredible, thank you!!!

From my first encounter with this tour company’s operators via email, to my in-person full-day tour, Northern Hikes provided an exceptional experience. Prior to booking, Vitek replied to my emailed questions in detail and even provided photos to give me an idea of whether this senior could handle the hike. On the trip, Marek and his assistant, Katerina, were absolutely wonderful. Both are very knowledgeable but, more importantly, gracious in accommodating my limitations in keeping up the pace with the much younger rest of our little troop. The tour is well-planned and paced out; lunch at U Forta was terrific and the scenery – nothing short of spectacular! The bag of fruit and water was appreciated, as were stops along the route. I can’t recommend this company, its staff and its tour offering enough. My only note to older travelers is to realize it is a bit of up and down rough-hewn “steps,” but just take time to catch your breath as you walk and you’ll have an unforgettable experience!
