What an amazing day my partner and I had on our private tour, Cenk pick picked us up from our hotel in Istanbul first thing in the morning for the drive to Canakkale. Before arriving we stopped at a wonderful restaurant just of the highway for breakfast, where we were introduced to gozleme and turkish tea🤤, you have to try them. When we arrived at Canakkale we met our tour guide Ibrahim. He had fantastic English and could understand us quite well, with only learning it in the last 3 years. The knowledge he had on Troy when we were walking around he made it so fascinating and being shown the difference between the Troys . After Troy we stopped to have lunch at a Turkish restaurant where we had the best kebab we have ever had and the pilaf rice didn't disapoint the taste buds. Once we got to Gallipoli we stopped at several key land marks and had the chance to be told what happened and some of the stories. This meant a lot to me as my family have a strong military background. The most memorable moments were seeing the terrain and hearing about the battles the Anzacs and Ottoman fought over. Then to finish it with an amazing sunset with just my partner and I.
Thank you guys you definitely made it memorable.

The tour included transfer to and from Istanbul on a comfortable late model mini-bus. We were picked up 5 mins walk from our hotel in the morning and driven south to the Gallipoli site. After an excellent lunch we started the tour. Our guide was knowledgeable, passionate and had a good sense of humour.
The tour was enlightening, the failed attack on Gallipoli is commemorated in Australia every year, so the site is important to our country. Seeing the key sites, the topography and the scenery made it very real for my family and I.

Moreover, we have a much greater understanding of the importance of the campaign for the people of Turkey, and the bond that it creates between the countries that fought on both sides. The independent identities of the Turkish and Australian nations are rooted here.

The tour was smoothly run, all staff were courteous and helpful, thoroughly recommended.

Superb. Both tours were excellent, and the drivers and guides who shuttled me around the Dardanelles were courteous and cheerful. The min-vans are brand new, with USB chargers on every seat, and lunch in Eceabat was great. Troy (9:00-10:30am) is a challenging visit, as it has so many layers of history and requires a lot of imagination (it's definitely more of an archeological dig than most ancient sites), but the guide was very good at pointing us at the interesting bits. The Gallipoli leg (1:00-4:30pm) was easily one of the best tours I've ever had, with a passionate guide providing careful sequencing of information to ensure we could place each site in context, helpfully showing us where the best photo spots were, and doing a fantastic job of straddling both the Turkish and Anzac history. Staying in Canakkale made for a comfortable day (8:30am-5:30pm), compared to those who made the early start from Istanbul and were starting to fade by the time we hit Lone Pine and Chunuk Bair.

We went on the morning private Gallipoli tour with Cagri (Charlie) and afternoon group tour of Troy with Ibrahim (Ibo). Both guides were wonderful, very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Charlie even had old photos of various locations at Gallipoli to compare during the tour. Both men take a lot of pride in their work and go to lengths to make it enjoyable (Charlie is further a tourism inspector showing his dedication).

The company itself is also fabulous. We booked the tours before travelling to Turkey, through whatsapp with Bhutan. He was so wonderful, he even helped to book a tour to Pammukale after we left Canakkale, and helped arranged transfers to our hotel in Kusadasi. They were all so lovely to deal with, we cannot recommend them enough

Crowded House tours are really organised. Our first guide for Troy was very knowledgeable about the history and the myths. It was a fantastic morning. Then we went across for the Gallipoli tour which was equally informative and very powerful. Burak is a highly energetic guide who is passionate about this part of history. Both parts highly recommended

As part of the Viking Tour via the Viking Sky ship, my wife & I had made a choice of a tour of Troy and the port of Canakkale when the ship docked there. The land tour was through Tura Turizm and the tour guide was a brilliant guy named Ibo. He had a fantastic knowledge and passion not only for the history of Troy but also for the memorial sites for the ill-fated Gallipoli campaign that resulted in a huge loss of life in The First World War which we could see on the hillside when we arrived back at Canakkale. He was really charasmatic which made the infomation he was imparting even more interesting. If you get the opportunity to visit the site of Gallipoli, Canakkale & Troy, besure to ask for Ibo. He had the ease of a seasoned historian but with relaxed personality that made the entire experience unforgettable. Attached 4 photos of the day, there were so many more taken at the site of Troy, too many to choose from.
