Just finished a wonderful full day trip with Simon on the great ocean road. Simon is a true gentleman and professional tour guide. My wife and I traveled with our 17 year old son and 13 year old daughter and Simon made sure to include everyone in the conversation. He was on time, kept his vehicle clean and provided a great day for us all. He is very experienced and runs his tour opposite of the large tour groups to make the experience more enjoyable

We were blessed to be guided on a private tour of Yarra with Simon. The day’s journey began with a Visit to Healesville Sanctuary where we observed many wildlife activities including the nocturnal creatures.

Then it was onto the highlight of the day whereby wine tasting at various vineyards attacked our palates. Great fresh oyster pairing at Chandon view a Fantastic view of the rolling hills. Assorted cheese with wine pairing at De Bortoli topped off the day as a special treat.

If you are reading the review section to help you decide if you should book Simon Greenland, please stop reading any further and book him immediately. Our party consisted of three elderly adults, two patents and a teenage child. From the time we made our booking to the day of the tour, Simon stayed in constant communication, made recommendations and responded immediately to changes. He curated the perfect itinerary, took care of all the arrangements and made amendments during the day to maximise our experience and time. Simon beguiled us with so many stories, facts and details of Melbourne and the Yarra Valley that gave the places we travelled to even more life and color. We consider ourselves lucky to have found Simon. He is a wonderful Aussie, a great ambassador for Melbourne and Australia.

This wonderful tour was not only guided it was curated. Our guide Simon engaged us in conversation about our tastes and experiences with wine from the moment we were underway from our hotel is his comfortable Mercedes van. Although the first stop on our wine tour was pre-booked and essentially private until the very end, subsequent stops were scheduled on route in accordance with what we had shared with him.
His knowledge of wines and the wine country was deep and thoughtful but unlike some wine tours we have been on, Simon let the winery representatives talk for themselves and confined his own commentaries to the transits between locations. After a few questions, he picked a perfect lunch spot for us that proved a pleasant but not excessively long interlude in a delightful day. Service was door to door from our hotel in Melbourne. Along the way there were ample opportunities to view wildlife in natural settings, and we had some spectacular viewing of koalas along with very good viewing of kangaroos and numerous birds. Simon also seemed to have an encyclopedic knowledge of the local flora as he pointed out the many different species of tree, shrub, and flowering plant we passed during our wonderful day with him. Overall rating? Enough stars to fill the Southern Cross and its pointers beside!

Done 3D2N Great Ocean Road and Grampians tour with Simon while Sean took us for the day tour to Philip island. My family enjoyed the personalised tour curated by Simon. His recommendations on accommodation, food and itinerary were great. The wonderful experience certainly created unforgettable memories to my family.
