1. Meiji Jingu Shrine
Meiji Jingu is a shrine which has the most worshippers in Japan and is one of the most popular sightseeing spots. Its vast temple is surrounded by greenery and is the city's oasis which is enjoyable for both locals and tourists. Enjoy the spiritual atmosphere.
2. Takeshita Street
Takeshita Street / Omotesando: Takeshita Street and Omotesando are both Japan's leading fashion streets. Takeshita Street, the epicenter of youth culture, is filled with people all year round, with colorful and pop-up shops lined up in tight rows, and Harajuku's cute culture overflowing. Omotesando will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2020, and as one of Japan's leading fashion streets, various fashionistas come and go. Come and see for yourself the city and its people that continue to spread trends!
3. Tsukiji Fish Market
Tsukiji fish market used to prosper between 1935 to 1983 as the largest wholesale fish market in Japan. It closed down in 2018 and moved to Toyosu but the historical land of Tsukiji is still appreciated by the locals. There are still many shops in this old market which are busy with tourists looking forward to eating the delicious seafood.
4. Tokyo Tower
Tokyo Tower was built in 1958 and is Tokyo's symbol. It has a strong presence amid the crowded buildings, even in a city as large as Tokyo. Although the newer tower, Skytree, is a taller building than Tokyo Tower, people are still attracted to Tokyo Tower's majestic appearance.
5. Senso-ji Temple
Sensoji is Tokyo's oldest temple with the large red lanterns that have become the symbol of Asakusa. The gorgeous red buildings are worth seeing and the temple is a famous sightseeing place where a majority of people visit when they come to Tokyo. On the way to the main temple at Nakamise street, you will find a variety of stores that sell souvenirs found only in Japan. The area is always crowded with people, no matter the season.

We had such a wonderful day with Meg. She took us to the Meiji Shrine. We were so lucky to see a Shinto wedding. Takeshita Street was so fun for our 17 year old daughter. Meg was also able to get tickets for us to see an authentic Geisha performance. The day ended on a great note at the Owl Cafe. Meg was a great tour guide and provided us with so much historical and cultural information.

We had an amazing time with the walking tour. Our tour guide Masami was great. He did a great job showing us many of the highlights in Tokyo and explaining history. We learned a lot. So much more to still learn and see. Hope to come back to Tokyo and I would definitely book with Masami again.

Rumí was a great tour guide for our first day in Japan. Knowing nothing at all she educated us on the Meji Shrine and took us all around, answering any random questions we had about the country. She was so kind and truly catered to our needs. Anytime we needed a break or a snack she sat with us without hesitation. She was very educated on the history and on the transportation as well. We had no issues in our tour at all. She had great recommendations for restaurants all over and provided us with great places to try later in our trip. My daughter is vegetarian and she even had vegetarian and vegan options to recommend us. To top it all off she was such a sweet person and so easy to talk to. We definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a great time :)

This tour is a "must do" on your trip to Tokyo. We had one of the best tour guides that made it an amazing experience for my whole family. If you can request someone, I would highly recommend going with our guide, Toshi. Toshi went above and beyond! He reached out weeks prior to us arriving and asked what our interests were and planned our day accordingly. He picked us up at our ryokan and when the tour was done, he took us to our next destination (skytree). It was hard to tell him goodbye because he made such an impression on all of us. Thank you for showing us around and making it so memorable Toshi!
