WHAT TO EXPECT

1. Vatican City
You will enter the Vatican Museums overflowing with masterpieces by many of Italy’s most important Italian artists. sitting alongside important works from Ancient Greece, Rome and Egypt. You will walk through famous galleries such as the tapestries and maps ones. You will learn the secrets of The Sistine Chapel, with its enormous Michelangelo’s frescoes. Here you will have time to observe the details of his sublime “Last Judgment”. Your guide will bring you directly from the Sistine Chapel into St. Peter’s Basilica, the world’s largest Church, to admire Michelangelo’s “Pietà” and other highlights

(Not included in the MINI WOW Tour)You will start a driven guided tour with the Trevi Fountain, a secretive masterpiece and perhaps the most spectacular fountain in Rome. This iconic setting attracts many visitors. It was built at the end of one of the famed aqueducts that supplied the Roman Empire with water. Toss a coin into its waters to ensure a safe return to Rome at some stage in the future.
3. Spanish Steps
Not included in the MINI WOW Tour)You will proceed to the Spanish Steps, one of the biggest tourist spots in the city. As you stand and admire the Church of Trinitàdei Monti, which sits at the top of a famous stairwell with the Fontana Della Barcaccia at its foot, you will wonder how they were ever able to complete it.
4. Pantheon
Not included in the MINI WOW Tour)A true masterpiece to admire on your tour of Rome: The Pantheon. Immaculately preserved and seemingly just a few centuries old, it isn't easy to believe that the structure was finished in AD 128 by Emperor Hadrian. In the square in front - a gathering place for locals – discover a decorative 16thcentury fountain sitting beneath the Egyptian obelisk. Your guide will suggest the best time to go back and see the inside of the monument. Kindly NOTE that the line might be too long due to the metal detector and the visit is from outside.
5. Piazza Navona
(Not included in the MINI WOW Tour)No trip to Rome is complete without a visit to Piazza Navona, one of the largest squares in the city. The space is incredibly popular among tourists for one primary reason: Bernini’s “Fountain of the Four Rivers.” Built to represent The Nile, The Ganges, The Danube, and Rio de la Plata, the structure now sits amidst the artists who arrive to peddle their wares daily.
6. Ancient Rome
The driver will pick you up at your hotel and bring you at the Colosseum, where you will meet your guide. After admiring the impeccably preserved Arch of Constantine, you will move onto the Coliseum. The grandest amphitheater in the world will amaze you! You will walk on the footsteps of Roman Emperors through the Roman Forum. Thanks to your guide’s explanations, you will be able to imagine their triumphal processions and public speeches. The Arch of Titus will be the perfect introduction to the panoramic hill of The Palatine. The ancient legend says that Romulus founded Rome on this hill in 753 B.C. Following his actions, the Emperors built here their opulent homes. After this complete Ancient Rome tour, you will fully understand Ancient Roman life.

• Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
• LIMITED MOBILITY Ancient Rome area and Vatican Museums visits involve SIGNIFICANT WALKING. The Roman Forum and Palatine surfaces are uneven, but a considerable portion of the area has wheelchair paths. Please note that the pathway from the Sistine Chapel to St Peter’s Basilica has 50 steps downwards and is not wheelchair accessible. The tour can continue to the Basilica only if all members of your private group can walk down the stairs, but, for safety reasons, it is not possible to carry wheelchairs and walkers down the stairs. If your private group includes participants with reduced mobility, we can still bring you to the Basilica, going back to the Museum's entrance and reaching it from the outside with the car. Although there is a dedicated pathway for wheelchairs, please be aware that there may be a queue to enter the Basilica. Also, note that other participants in your group will have to take charge of pushing the wheelchair.
• VATICAN IS CLOSED ON SUNDAYS (and religious holidays). Due to the Wow Tour's high request, we designed a Sunday experience when the Vatican is closed. With your guide, and your driver you will explore St. Peter's Square, Castel Sant' Angelo area and other marvelous sites like the Aventine hill; from its top, you enjoy spectacular views over the city. As an alternative we will prospose other museums or arcaeological sites!
• Option 3 - WOW Tour - 7,5 hours: This tour has the car at disposal for the whole time. Nevertheless, transfers are scheduled according to entrance time tickets; if you need to anticipate or postpone a transfer, our staff will do their best to meet your needs. Please note that the Colosseum ticket includes Roman Forum and Palatine that you can enter autonomously within 24 hours. The guide will explain it from the outside
• STROLLERS: We suggest avoiding strollers and using a baby sling instead. Like wheelchairs and walkers, strollers are not allowed in the passage from the Sistine Chape directly to the Basilica ( 50 steps downward ). Your private tour will end without the Basilica visit. The PREMIUM OPTION with the car at your disposal, helps us organize the Basilica visit. The Roman Forum and Palatine surfaces are uneven, but a considerable portion of the area has stroller paths.
• Option 1 - SHORE EXCURSION FROM ROME (CIVITAVECCHIA PORT) 10 hours: this option includes pick up and drop off at the dock of your ship. It also includes the car at disposal during the tour. Nevertheless, transfers are scheduled according to entrance time tickets; if you need to anticipate or postpone a transfer, our staff will do their best to meet your needs.Please note that the Colosseum ticket includes Roman Forum and Palatine that you can enter autonomously you you have spare timebefore going back to the port. The guide will explain it from the outside.
• Option 2 - Mini WOW Tour - 4,5 hours: It is designed for those who are interested in the Colosseum and Vatican Visit and not in the tour of ther squares which is not included in this option.This tour has no car at diposal while you are inside the Vatican and the Colosseum. Nevertheless it icludes pick-up and intermediate transfers. No lunch and no drop off included. Please note that the Colosseum ticket includes Roman Forum and Palatine that you can enter autonomously within 24 hours. The guide will explain it from the outside

Having a guide who knows where to go and can bypass the lines is a must. Our guide, Andrea, was terrific and knowledgeable (an archeologist with a PhD). He provided just enough information answering all of our questions. Our driver, who had a special license that allows him to drive on restricted streets, was a bonus and saved a lot of time.

Lunch was included which was nice, but the food was average at best. It was the only thing on the tour I wouldn’t give 5 stars. Overall, I highly recommend this tour!

I cannot say enough about this tour! Our guide, Patrizia was AMAZING!!! She knew so much detailed history, told wonderful stories, answered all our questions, and took excellent care of us. Also, she knew all the ins and outs of every facility so well that we were able to quickly get through the lines and crowds. She even knew the best places to tell our driver to park for easy access (which can change but she stays on top of everything). Speaking of drivers… our driver Andrew was so great too! He was so kind, patient, and always available if we needed him. During the 2 weeks were in Europe, this tour was by far the best! The “skip the lines passes” was definitely worth it, the lunch was great, and the vehicle was perfect! If you only have a day or 2 in Rome and want to see the highlights, then do not hesitate to book this tour. It was worth every dollar!! Thank you Patrizia and Andrew so much!!

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and it was so nice having a driver waiting for us since the day we did this tour it was 102 in Rome! She was so kind and explained everything to us. The restaurant we had lunch at by the Colosseum was very good as well.

The quirky little stories Luca shared with us about the many works of art we saw. Having been to Rome before, Luca added to our experience. He made the whole day feel relaxed and easy. We admired how in tune he was with the needs of our group. He was attentive to each of us in a skilled and kind way. We respected his knowledge and his ability to enhance our understanding of what we were seeing.

Worth every penny. Our guide Patrizia was incredibly knowledgeable and so funny. We would not have been able to see so many things in one day without her. Our driver Andrea got us from location to location in style and was so kind. Highly recommend.

This was truly the best way to see Rome in 1 day with very limited time. Amira was our driver and picked us up right at the cruise port and got us into Rome quickly and safely, she handled Rome’s traffic very well. Our tour guide was Laura and she was so sweet and informative. My boyfriend walks with a cane and needed to take breaks while walking and she was very understanding of that and made sure he could use the elevator when possible. Truly was skip the line, felt like VIP’s. Lunch was amazing!! Overall, it is definitely pricey but if you only have a small amount of time in Rome it is 100% worth it. We would have never been able to see the things we did without a private driver and tour guide and we had an amazing time!

My sister and I only had one day in Rome before boarding a ship to cruise the Mediterranean, so I booked the WOW tour and it was a WOW. They provided a driver to get us around town and a tour guide to get us in to all of the most sought after sights in Rome. Get us in they did! We walked in to all of the places like VIP’s. We had enough time to enjoy the sights and our tour guide, Elenora was fabulous and knowledgable about all of the places we went. I would say it was the best tour I’ve ever been on and would definitely recommend it.
