2. Mua Caves
After a 2-hour car journey from Hanoi, it's time for us to engage in some physical activity by ascending the magnificent natural Great Wall of Mua mountain, as well as exploring the Mua cave. We just finished a great, very full day in Ninh Binh with our excellent guide, Louis. We went to a large temple, hiked the dragon steps, had a great row in Tam Coc, an amazing Vietnamese lunch at a lux homestay along the river and a very fun Vespa ride around the country side with a bonus hike through a very untraveled cave. Don’t sleep on the passion fruit ice cream! Louis taught us very interesting local facts plus insights into cultural aspects of the Vietnamese people that were very informative. Choose this tour!

We had a wonderful day in Ninh Binh - it’s absolutely a must visit if you’re near Hanoi. Louis was an excellent tour guide and very knowledgeable and funny.

The food is AMAZING and the views are outstanding. Would love to visit again.

Well where do we start! Amazing trip and amazing guide! My partner was unfortunately unwell in the morning and we needed a little more time, straight from the get go there was no problem with our legendary guide DANNY! What a bloke. He went above and beyond to ensure we could still make the trip. He had very good English, was filled with very interesting facts and explained some of vietnams history very well! We had a 2hr drive to Ninh Bin, we stopped at a local temple, we then hiked the dragon temple (make sure you eat before you do this very hot and very steep! Plenty rest points, you can also opt out and sit in the walk around the beautiful area) we went through the Mua caves which have history from the Vietnam war, we walked through beautiful lotus flower fields then headed into have a beautiful lunch at Tam Coc river view home stay! We then embarked on a scooter tour in the most beautiful surroundings before finishing the day with a serene cruise down tam coc.

Danny we wouldn’t thank you enough! A long and hot day but fuelled by fun, entertainment and great hospitality! Highly recommend!!

We absolutely loved our tour of Ninh Binh and couldn’t fault it from start to finish. It was brilliant getting there that bit earlier to hike Mua Caves when it was slightly cooler, and also always be slightly ahead of the crowds for the rest of the day, especially at Tam Coc. The jeep was great fun too, but what stood out most was our guide, Chris. He is genuinely the best guide I’ve ever had on any tour I’ve been on - funny, incredibly knowledgeable, and at all times keen to give us the most authentic experience possible and ensure we were all having a brilliant time! Thanks Chris

A great day! All activities were planned thoroughly to ensure a smooth and easy experience. The day had a mix of everything - sightseeing the majestic mountains, a cultural lunch and a Jeep adventure off-roading! Fantastic tour! Chris was the best tour guide we could have had! He was so knowledgeable, funny, caring and fun. The tour took us to the best places in Ninh Binh, and we were able to do so much. Would definitely recommend this tour for anyone looking to visit Ninh Binh, and you will be extra lucky if you get Chris as your guide!
