The most popular tour through Zurich´s historic old town offers fascinating insights into the city´s colorful history.
What do Einstein, James Joyce and Wagner have in common? All three were residents of Zurich. But it´s not only great minds who are captivated by this lakeside city with its well-preserved old town – people from all over the world have always flocked to the thriving metropolis.
On a two-hour walk through the old town, we go searching for clues to the city´s past in its hidden alleyways and picturesque squares. Together, we uncover the secrets of Bahnhofstrasse, find out what a "procession axis" is, and visit a church with a minute-hand that jumps a record-breaking half meter every minute.
This popular tour is filled with numerous astonishing and amusing anecdotes and has plenty to offer both visitors and locals alike.

This is an excellent way to be introduced to the old town of Zurich. Nicole was our guide; her knowledge and friendly manner are very professional.

Not impressed. Tour was supposed to be 20 but was more. He wasn’t even checking tickets so I think people who didn’t pay were jumping on. He moved fast but there was little depth. He made jokes that weren’t funny but didn’t share any real history. Lots of refrende to money and commerce and capitalism but again not much history. Said 2 hours but ended in 1 hr 40. Very disappointing. Don’t spend the money.. just the along for free like so many others did

Tour was lovely but the rain made it difficult. Our guide was fantastic and sweet enough to loan us her umbrella.

We had a great time exploring and learning a bit about Zürich's Old Town. Our guide Susanne had many great stories and facts to share about the various landmarks and buildings around Zürich, including their history as well as their place in contemporary Zürich. There was a bit of a climb up to the Lindenhof hill, nothing our group couldn't handle. Highly recommended for anyone new to Zürich.

The two was good and Christian highlighted a lot of things that we would’ve missed had we have just wondered around Zürich on our own.
My only comment is that we sometimes found it difficult to hear as Christian is quietly spoken, but he would always repeat if asked.

Beautiful day to tour Zurich! Guide was not very personable and English not great.
Not as passionate and as informative as I would expect.
