We were met at the exit gate to the port by our amazing guide Mutlu. He has a lot of knowledge about the historical significance of Ephesus and in general, it was very interesting to talk to him about the life in modern Turkey. We went to visit the house of Virgin Mary and the archeological site. No lines but it was very hot. All the time we were guided by Mutlu and he customised the times for us in every place we visit. It was an absolutely delicious Turkish lunch as a part of this trip and we also went to see a weaving school and shop, where we were shown how the hand -made Turkish rugs are made. Very interesting. Of course, they wanted us to buy a rug but we did not buy one but were very close to doing it. Overall, very nice experience and we would highly recommend this excursion.

We had a wonderful time in Ephesus. Our guide, Karem, was extremely knowledgeable about the area and spent time answering all our questions and explaining the sites we were seeing. The included lunch was amazing. The market we went to had so many delicious bites from Turkish Delight to Baklava!!

Our guide and driver were both excellent. We were collected on time from our cruise ship. Slight confusion about the booking but a BIG shoutout and thank you to the tiny, nice and bubbly lady in the information kiosk at Kusidasi port. She sorted things in seconds and we were soon with our guide on a private tour. She was extremely knowledgeable and struck a good balance between telling us what we needed so we could understand the history and not drilling down too deep into everything. The museum experience at Ephesus is phenomenal and free with your entry ticket. Lunch was good. (Free) at the carpet weaving school. We got a demonstration and were shown carpets but no hard sell. We also stopped at a shop which sold oils, saffron, baklava and other souvenirs. We bought but again no pressure. Had a great day out. Advice - take a brilly as it’s hot hot hot !

Büşra was an excellent tour guide: knowledgeable, funny, and eager to answer our questions. The museum/cinema was a little melodramatic and short on information, and we learned much more from Büşra. I would recommend her to anyone visiting Ephesus.

We chose to opt out of the cruise excursions and booked a private tour of Ephesus with Mel (home of the Mother Mary, ancient Ephesus and Temple of Artemis). We were 6 adults and 4 children (ages 7-11). A wonderful day was had by all!
Mel was very knowledgeable and generally lovely. The bus was new, clean and cool.
Following the tour, we had a traditional Turkish lunch that was delicious!
