We hired a private van service, Live & Love, for our tour of the Casa Tortugas Cenotes. After overhearing comments from people who did a group tour, I was glad we chose the private tour. Our driver, Francisco, was awesome, as was our tour guide Tomasa. We were able to spend plenty of time in each of the cenotes. Our guide Tomasa provided a history of the cenotes and the area as we toured. My granddaughter purchased a Mayan calendar carved from obsidian. Our van driver, Francisco, took time to explain the symbols on the calendar. This was among one of the best activities we participated in while in Playa del Carmen. One thing to note. Sunscreen of any type will be washed off before entering the cenotes. Everyone must stand under the outdoor showers before proceeding on the tour.
