2. Girona
Head to the first destination of the day, the historical city of Girona, where the relics of its Roman and medieval past coexist with the present, offering an image full of contrasts. Wander along its labyrinth of narrow streets and to travel back in time to the best preserved Jewish district of Europe.
3. Patronat Call de Girona
Within the Old Force of the city, stroll down the Jewish Quarter, one of the most emblematic spaces. Get lost in a maze of alleyways and patios that keep the aura of medieval times. It is one of the best preserved Jewish quarters in the world and an evident example of the importance of the Jewish culture in Girona.
4. Girona Cathedral
In the Força Vella, the Old Force, admire the Girona Cathedral, located at the highest point of the city. Built between the 11th and 19th centuries, it includes various walls and spaces in different architectural styles, from a Romanesque monastery to a Baroque façade. Its most striking feature is the large Gothic nave which, with a width of 22 meters (72 ft), is the largest of its kind in the world.
5. Onyar River
Marvel the colorful façades of the houses on the shores of the Onyar River that flows through the city and engenders this warm atmosphere of colored houses and symbolic image of Girona. You will enjoy various and beautiful panoramic views, either from the various bridges that cross Onyar river or from the top of the medieval walls of the city.
6. Eiffel Bridge (Pont de les Peixateries Velles)
One of the bridges was designed by the famous Gustave Eiffel in 1877. The modern feel of the ironclad Eiffel Bridge contrasts sharply with the old buildings of the city.
7. Village Medieval de Pals
Before heading the Costa Brava, make a stop in the peaceful nature of Pals. The ancient medieval town of Pals, once a fortress, is full of idyllic cobblestone streets and squares. From its towers and viewpoints, enjoy the best views of the Mediterranean Sea. Admire Pals' beautiful green fields, the plains of the Empordà that stretch on the horizon.
8. Playas de Calella
Contemplate the greenery of the mountains, the steep relief of the coast and the small villages of whitewashed houses. Make a stop in Calella de Palafrugell, a small and traditional fishing village that still remains very charismatic, before exploring the surroundings.
9. Cami de Ronda
Not far away Calella, take the opportunity to discover the less explored nooks of the region thanks to the Caminos de Ronda, an old route used by fishermen, guards and smugglers. From the most popular beaches in the area to the most inaccessible caves and cliffs. To finish your day in beauty, take the opportunity to dive in the crystal clear waters, before to go straight back to your accommodation in Barcelona.

Our tour guide Aleix was friendly, knowledgeable, interactive and spirited. We spent the day exploring Girona’s spectacular sites, ate at an authentic restaurant in a local town, tasted locally made wine and embraced the seas breeze. We highly recommend this tour, it’s a must!

Miguel was an awesome tour guide! He was patient with my group of 12 as we had some tardiness and still managed to have us hit all the spots! He give us great history and cultural facts and really has a love and passion for Barcelona that was shown! He kept us laughing and it was so nice to have a friendly face and attitude on the tour to make everyone feel safe and comfortable for the long drives and all the walking. All locations were beautiful, took a bit of walking but worth the views in my opinion once you take into account the power of God seen through His creation! Overall, really enjoyed the tour & would suggest Miguel for this and anything else in Barcelona!

We had a great day exploring costa Brava with Ventura. He was funny, knowledgeable and an overall great guy. We visited Girona and learned about the wonderful history of this ancient town, ate lunch in the quaint Pals and dipped our toes in the ocean in Palafrugell. Overall it was a wonderful day and a good time provided by Ventura.

We were picked up on time by Reuben, a pleasant gentleman. We drove in a small Kia with air conditioning. Our first stop was Girona, the main reason we chose this tour. Reuben shared a lot of information related to Game of Thrones, which was interesting even though we don’t follow this show. We had hoped to learn more about the contributions, traditions, famous scholars of this once thriving jewish community of Girona prior to the expulsion. However Reuben’s knowledge was minimal at best. He showed us the Jewish museum but could not tell us anything within the museum, He showed us the Mikva, without saying what it was or how it was used. When finished with Girona, we traveled on to Pals and eventually Tossa de Mar. While Reuben was a very pleasant man, it was very disappointing that he was so deeply lacking in historical knowledge and stories as a tour guide.
As an added suggestion to the tour company, it would have been a nice touch to have a water bottle for each of us, for such a long day n a private tour.

Our guide, Ventura, was awesome! He was on time, knowledgeable, fluent in English, and accommodated all of our requests.

The cities that we visited on the tour were all interesting, beautiful, and unique. It is well worth getting out of Barcelona for a day and exploring Costa Brava.

Really enjoyed Geronda, Pal and Calella. All three were beautiful but totally different from one another. Also, Ventura made trip pleasant and adjusted as we went along to meet our requests.
