(Yai means Big and Noi means Small). With snow white sand the beaches on Racha Yai have the consistency of talcum powder. During the best time of year, the water is so glassy clear the visibility can be 30 feet! The much smaller Racha Noi is a popular spot for local fishermen, divers and day-trippers and is uninhabited.
