Korčula for Wine Lovers - Pošip and Grk Wines Private Tour

Korčula for Wine Lovers - Pošip and Grk Wines Private Tour

Korčula Island is famous for its white wines. This tour is intended for wine lovers looking for an authentic and local experience. Two grapes indigenous to Korčula are Grk and Pošip (Poship). The village of Lumbarda is known for Grk wines, while villages in the island's interior are known for Pošip ones. Both grapes have a lot to offer and the wines are mostly compared to Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay. This tour gives you a chance to compare both grapes and make your own opinion. Short scenic drives between Korčula, Lumbarda and Žrnovo will give you a chance to see more of the island, complementing your stay in Korčula Town. On the way back to Korčula, we will stop at a view point above the town. You will almost be able to touch the red roofs of a 1000-year-old town.

Korčula for Early Risers and Coffee Lovers Private Walking Tour

Korčula for Early Risers and Coffee Lovers Private Walking Tour

This tour is a mix of walking in the countryside and a morning routine in a little Mediterranean town. We will enjoy the views of Korčula from east and west and walk in nature where scents and sounds tell the story of an island named after its forests. On our route we will stop at a few places hidden from the usual tourist paths and you'll hear about local culture, history and customs. In fact, you 'll be one of 1% percent of visitors who will have seen some of them. A short visit to the fish and green market will give you a better idea about what we locals eat. Towards the end of the tour, we will buy a few home- made traditional cookies and have a cup of coffee at my favorite café. Having time to enjoy a cup of coffee with friends every day is a privilege of life in a small town. And I love meeting new people, so I am looking for a chance to have a cup of coffee and a little chat. At the end, you will be ready for the day ahead, energised and relaxed. Welcome to Korčula :-)

Korčula for Art and History Lovers Private Walking Tour

Korčula for Art and History Lovers Private Walking Tour

This is my favorite tour. The tour shows the most important art and cultural heritage Korčula preserved to this day and I am proud I can show it and explain it to my guests. Art is a universal language and Korčula will speak to you in its own, beautiful and unique. The tour is focused on Korčula's history, selected art collections and artworks by Marko Andrijić, a local artist who lived in the 15th and 16th centuries. This is a no - rush tour, with art and history presented in a popular way, easy to follow and understand. The tour is intended for travelers who want to acquire knowledge about the places they travel to and leave with the lasting memories. Guests will also hear about Marco Polo, the well known and most controversial traveler of all time. His connection with Korčula is, well, complicated. I was born and raised in Korčula and I live here. I love Korčula, art and history, so I guide about what I love. Welcome to Korčula :-)

Enchanted Forest Hike and Wine Tasting Private Tour

Enchanted Forest Hike and Wine Tasting Private Tour

Korčula Island is known for its stunning beauty and exceptional white wines. This tour combines both and will give you a chance to experience something that otherwise you could easily miss. The hike is diverse and not really demanding. However, you will need to walk a few steps up or down a rock and lower your back once or twice. The preserve is a real gem of nature and a highlight of the tour. The winery is a restored family house, with a charming courtyard and indoor seating. A substantial snack is also served. The wines are excellent and the owners are lovely and friendly. Pošip and Grk are local grapes, unique to the island. Enchanting Forest and Wine tasting, I promise. On the way back to Korčula, we will take a slightly different route and stop for a few minutes at the viewpoint on the hill above the town. You will feel like you can almost touch the town's red roofs. From there, we will drive to Korčula Bus Station or to your hotel.

Walking Tour in Korcula with Lady Franchesca

Walking Tour in Korcula with Lady Franchesca

The old heart of the town has been fascinating for a large number of tourists. It is a hometown of a seaman and travel writer Marko Polo and we believe it should be seen from a different perspective, presented by his mistress, Lady Franchesca. His life surely was not monotonous ( he travelled for about twenty-four years, passing some twety-five thousand kilometres and bringing various oriental wonders into our world) and presented through the eyes of the time-witness, it will be most amusing for you. The man who has changed a course of history and gastronomy was a heart breaker, as well, and it is up to you to find out whose heart he had broken. Learn interesting things about his hometown and customs of the time through his not so publicly known private life. Lady Franchesca s story will triger your imagination and senses.
