Gin Tasting Masterclass in Aberdeen

Gin Tasting Masterclass in Aberdeen

In this tutored gin tasting, led by the Head Distiller, you’ll have the opportunity taste the traditional gin botanicals (Juniper, Coriander, Angelica, Orris) as single distillates, training your palette to the individual flavours that make gin…gin. This is an essential skill for any gin connoisseur! Sample the range of small batch Aberdeen Gin expressions (London Dry and Fruit gins). Challenge yourself with the mystery single distillate – will you be the first to guess the botanical? The event concludes with a G&T of your choice – choose any gin from the range or perhaps one of the single distillates you’ve enjoyed during the event. All of the distillates / gins have been crafted using premium organic alcohol – luxuriously smooth. Once you’ve finished the tasting you’ll gain the ability to recognise the flavours that make up gin. Take this knowledge home, explore your gin shelves and enjoy your very own tasting with the skills you’ve learned during this Gin Tasting Masterclass.

Tour of Terror

Tour of Terror

Let us send a few shivers up your spine on this late evening, 75 minute, ghost tour of Edinburgh’s Old Town. The history of Scotland’s capital is one not just made up of royalty, inventors, writers and scholars but also murderers, witches, bodysnatchers even cannibals. Allow one of our costumed guides, who play one such roguish former citizen, to enlighten and frighten you for the evening. They’ll take you through the winding closes and darkened courts of the Old Town, all the while telling about the horrific events which took place there. Following that the you will journey to perhaps Scotland’s most haunted graveyard, Greyfriars Kirkyard. For the last part of the tour you’ll be taken down into our decidedly sinister underground vaults below South Bridge. This tour is perfect for lovers of scary stories and the bloodier side of Scotland’s history but is more relaxed in tone than our later extreme paranormal tour.
