See the second-largest archeological museum in Greece, the Museum of Athens, in Heraklion. The journey starts with an introduction of the oldest discoveries made in Crete, which date back to 6000 BC. Next, it visits the most notable Minoan palaces, Knossos, Festos, Mallia, and Zakros.
The trip culminates with the Minoan frescoes of Knossos, after which items from graves, shrines, and homes are displayed. At around 10.30, after our visit to the Archaeological Museum, we will begin our exploration of Heraklion's old city center.
