Phoenix is the largest city and also the capital of the US State of Arizona. The population of the city is 1,445,632 and it incorporates approximately 1,338 square kilometres of land area. The city is located jus near the meeting point of the Salt and Gila Rivers. Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is the major airport of the city.

If you fancy a few rounds of golf, the city has more than 200 golf courses. The Casa Grande Ruins National Monument preserves the building structures made by ancient tribes of the Hohokam period. The Agua Fria National Monument is a conservation area for native geographical structures, flora and fauna.
The Montezuma Castle National Monument preserves the habitats built and used by the ancient Sinagua people, and the Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument is designated as a biosphere reserve by the UNESCO.
