Montana, also known as The Treasure State, is located in the Western region of the United States. It has a population of 1 million Montanans, with a total area of 380,800 square kilometres making it the 4th largest state in America with the third lowest population density. The largest city is Billings while the capital is Helena.
The Great Divide splits Montanas landscape into two different but gorgeous halves. Montana has roughly 100 or more mountain ranges that are located in the western part of the state. These stunning ranges often give way to beautiful river valleys. The more eastern and northern parts of the states are less mountainous and the northeast is comprised of lakes and prairies. Views from escarpments across the planes are everywhere.
Montana attracts all those who love nature and history, with the Lewis and Clark Trail, world renowned Yellowstone National Park, Glacier National Park, the Museum of the Rockies, Montana Rockies, Fly Fishing locations everywhere, and Geyser Whitewater Expeditions along some of the best rapids in the country.
More adventures are always just around the bend, or over the next mountain range in Montana.
