As the third largest airport in the Netherlands, the Rotterdam The Hague Airport is the country's third largest airport. It is located only 5.6 kilometres from the Rotterdam city centre. The airport only operates a single runway, and has the IATA code of RTM.
It provides air services not only to Rotterdam, but also The Hague. The airport only handles some 1.5 million passengers annually. The airport is also used by smaller flying schools, clubs as well as smaller charter operators.
The key airlines that provide air travel from the airport include Arkefly, British Airways, CityJet, Jetairfly, Lufthansa CityLine, and Turkish Airlines.
As well as taxi services, the airport can also be accessed via RandstadRail, or the Airport Shuttle. As the airport is somewhat small, it only offers a handful of eateries and retail shops.
