The town of Helsingborg is located in Skane County, Sweden, and is home to around 100,000 people. The town is the closest Swedish extremity to Denmark. It is possible to see the city of Helsingor from across the Oresund, which is only 4 kilometres away.
The historic town of Helsingborg has often been referred to as a pearl sparkling in the sun. More often than not you will see a cruise liner being welcomed into it's harbour, or the big ferries darting in and out.
The city itself is lined with old stone buildings full of character, and a fortress that is over 600 years old located right in the heart of the city. Closer to the centre of the city, you will find more modern style buildings. The city truly reeks of both sophistication and charm.
Everything you can desire is within easy reach, be sure to take the time to amble along through its streets, grab a coffee of some lunch, and just watch the coming and goings of the harbour, or even just people watch.
